Well in Destiny's case - I can't. It seems to be too bogged down in necessary updates that it just won't start.

You can play Mortal Kombat while the game is updating on xbone. You should research things more t0mby.

What other console are you talking about? If it's the Wii U they install with the console off. I've never been stopped by an update.

I never said anything about games being stopped by an update. What post are you referring to Grey?

Comparing PS4 and Xbox One still puts Sony's platform ahead though. Even with upgrades to both platforms, the margin is still as wide as 12fps in favour of PS4 at points, and rarely does the twain meet in terms of the frame-rate read-outs between the two. If the PC version isn't an option for those eager to try Project Cars ambitious racing sim, PS4 remains the best performer in the console space.

Re: Xbox 720p and PS4fps
Still a stuttering/tearing mess on either platform, if it's not locked 60fps it's going to stutter and tear.
Too little too late here, Forza 6 owned them in all holes.
For PS4 owners project cars is their own choice sadly.

Mario Kart 8 must be a stuttering and tearing mess then I assume?lestat wrote:Still a stuttering/tearing mess on either platform, if it's not locked 60fps it's going to stutter and tear.

Re: Xbox 720p and PS4fps
MK8 didn't tear, but dropping a frame every few seconds is noticeable and annoying.
The general perception of smooth framerate isn't the number of frames but the frame pacing/frametime, not avg over a second. It only takes a few frames within that second to be paced/displayed too long to ruin the impression of smoothness.
This is where technology like gsync aims to eliminate the issue that traditional vsync creates.

I don't own a wii u, I only played the store demo of it a while back.
Did they ever patch the issue?
PS4 struggling with AF again...

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... n-face-off" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Texture resolution is reasonably high across all platforms, but the lack of anisotropic filtering lets the PS4 game down (trilinear filtering is used instead), resulting in a clear loss of fine details across flat surfaces a few feet away from the camera. By comparison, both Xbox One and PC operate with 16x AF enabled, allowing for more detail to present further into the scene and at oblique angles.

Of course it does. I just assumed you missed the part about the XBONE version being broken while reading the article

What? It looks glorious. You just read that review from the dude who couldn't see it and then when he heard the issue he amazingly saw it everywhere and you're like OMG IT'S A STUTTERING MESS!!! When everyone else is like "it's a beautiful game that dude is crazy".lestat wrote:I don't own a wii u, I only played the store demo of it a while back.

Seriously it's beautiful and you're seeing something that isn't there because it makes it sound like you have some glitch detecting super power...
blah...

Re: Xbox 720p and PS4fps
I actually saw it straight away when the game came out, I was going to buy a wii u for it, saw the frame skipping and lack of AF/AA and quickly came to my senses(not a big fan of kart racers).
Yes I have these super powers, which is why I bore you people with my findings.
Remember when I called out Killzone Shadowfall being sub 1080p at the E3 expo? It took months for others to realise the game wasn't rendering native 1080p. The funky interlacing stood out to me like a swore thumb, it's a gift and a curse.

You made the right choice. Forza all the way.
