Not sure what I will get it on yet.. The Pro would look nicer though I don't have a 4k TV.. I assume performance will be better on the pro BUT I know a fair few old ME3 Multiplayer peeps who are on board for the Xbone.. I played a LOT more MP than the story mode..

I didn't play any MP. Wasn't really interested, and still got the best endings.

I have the original trilogy on 360 but Andromeda will be Master Race

Any of you guys get into the expanded universe? I have all the novels (even the deplorable 'Deception' that ignored pretty much everything established in the games and the previous novels :| ) and all the comics :) I also have the anime "Paragon Lost" :)

I don't have either of the mobile games.

I have Nexus Uprising, which comes out the day of Andromeda and takes place concurrently with the game, pre-ordered :D

It looks like all the major media outlets have played Andromeda for 3-5 hours so there are impressions all over the place now. Like this one:
I went into the Andromeda preview feeling trepidatious. I came out excited and anxious to play more. Most important is that it feels like Mass Effect, and it looks like it’s building on the best aspects of the previous games. Speaking with Condominas, it’s clear this is their aim. “The trilogy had a narrative constraint, but when we start from scratch, when we don’t have that story anymore, our first reflex was to say ‘what are the best elements of all three games that we can bring and put together’. So obviously the exploration, the Nomad, all those notions are from Mass Effect 1; the loyalty missions from Mass Effect 2 and the character bonding; and the more action based gameplay of Mass Effect 3. We tried to bring all that together. But they were three different games, suddenly having to balance that into a single game… It takes five years.”
The game's gone gold and the PC system specs are out:
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB
HARD DRIVE: At least 55 GB of free space
DIRECTX: DirectX 11

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350
MEMORY: 16 GB RAM
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX 480 4GB
Unsurprisingly the same as Battlefield 1. My PC meets or exceeds the recommended specs so I am more than ready. Release date is the 23/03, and I have booked leave for the 24/03

If it runs as good as other Frostbite 3 games, locked 60fps will be easy. I'm actually a big fan of this engine. I'm really impressed how well my setup ( which isn't high end) can max out games like BF1 with 64 players on screen without a hitch.

I played only a little of ME1, skipped both sequels, but they're starting off fresh with Andromeda which means no back story to remember. Combat looks interesting. You can't assign commands to your party anymore apparently. Day1 origin.

I know very little of this game. The only content I've seen so far is the few movies Bioware have just shown.

I'd try to play ME2 personally beforehand because it's between ME2 and ME3 that the crew of this new game left the Milky Way. I would say some aspects of ME2 are likely to show some relevance. People have already noticed some very interesting connections between a few of the original characters from ME2 and 3 with one new character in particular in Andromeda.

I reckon there will be Cerberus action.

ME2 is also currently free on Origin if you haven't played one of the best games ever before

I loved 3 the most. The Multiplayer was fucking fantastic and it closed out the series.. plus I got to have my tragic love story.

I'm just going to customise my character to be fully shaven. Just leaving the basic runway strip on.

, credits to Yongyea for making this video.

So, the game's rating has spoken to us all. It's kinda funny hearing this considering the outrage over the original Mass Effect release over "digital porn", now this.

The last Initiative video is out, watch them if you want to unlock some DLC armour.

They're the only trailers I'm watching, there's some crazy spoilerific stuff out there (first 15 minutes, Peebee's loyalty mission ffs) so I'm trying to avoid it all.

$59 at JB on Master Race, $69 on console

I got EB to price match JB's $59 (I originally used an EB gift card I got for Christmas to prepurchase it) and got them to transfer the difference to my Dawn of War 3 preorder that I preordered using that same gift card :D

I couldn't resist the temptation and have read some impressions of the first few hours.

They don't sound too positive :(

Still have next Friday off work though.
