Game is amazing. I've played through most of the content in the beta. Compared to the alpha there is probably a couple of hours more stuff. Everything that was in the alpha is in the beta from what I can tell. The beta has a much better lead in, and offers more hooks into the full game. Even played a bit of Crucible (the competitive multi) yesterday and I was really enjoying it - A first for me.
All I really have left to do in the beta is the Devils mission (the 2 hour dungeon). Might settle in later today and have a crack at it.

Ive done all the stuff except for The Crucible and the level 8 Devils Lair. Level 6 Devils Lair took me and some randoms about 40 minutes. Its good fun and pretty addictive. Bring on 9/9 already.

I played it last night, finished devils lair and got to level 7 pretty easily.

My god some enemies are bullet sponges, not sure about the game, the combat mechanics just feel out of place for the wow style they're aiming for.

The presentation is top notch and classic bungie, the skyboxes and art work are superb, visually it's just the reach engine in higher res with additional effects, I found the constant frame pacing issues annoying. Game feels and looks at a lower frame rate than it is.

I was surprised to see a lot of the same map reused for missions once again that wow grind feeling.

It's quality that's for sure, just not sure about the long term appeal as I was getting bored emptying 50 clips into enemies as a lot of missions are killing spawning hoards.I think playing this solo will get tiring quickly it's better played with friends, also I couldn't see any strategy across builds for bosses.

I guess its early but most of boss fights just rely on using cover well and dealing damage when you can, I couldn't see a tank, healer, dps etc team work in play, anyone can revive you.

I was really looking forward to the beta but things have happened that have made it impossible for me to play. >_< I got to play 30 minutes last night at least, yep the game is still awesome.

As a side note when I was home for a short period I decided to download the beta, 10GB or so, but I couldn't stay to wait for it to finish so I set the PS4 to turn off after a couple of hours. Think it did? Nah, the damn thing remained on for well over a day and when I did eventually get to turn it off it locked up and rebooted into safe mode. THANKS SONY.

I don't think it would have, the download was from within the Destiny client itself, not from PSN. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think games continue to operate in standby mode?

They do as when I dl destiny I set it up in the morning switched it to standby mode and by the afternoon when I got home it was ready.

They had a captain fallen character that resembled elites with their shields, Halo has that spongieness on certain enemies but it's taken to a whole new level here, especially the bosses.

A lot of regular characters take 2-3 headshots to take down, of course the varying level differences and weapon differences make it unpredictable to know how hard your hits are going to be. Which is why visually you need to see the hit points to know whether to push on or back off vs halo.

I ventured into this underground hidden cavern, they had fallen mobs with ??, guessing lvl 20+, basically my shots did virtually nothing and I was killed in an instant. To be expected with a leveling system.

Honestly had no hype whatsoever for this game (I'm not a big Halo fan at all) but the hour or 2 I've played of the beta has me impressed. Very impressed! I'm about to go to JB to pre order the retail version right now! Looks great. Plays really well. I'm amazed it's turned out so well.

Yeah game is going to be fucken Epic!!! No more beta for me. Not gonna try both console versions, just gonna settle for the PS4 version.

It's great that after all the years that the SDFers who have bagged Bungie and Halo can finally see and play Bungies gaming goodness. They won't have to tell us how their next Resistance, Killzone or Haze is the next big Halo killer . Now they can experience what a lot of us have over the last ten years.
