JB and HN both have God of War for $79. Big W & Target’s latest catalogue isn’t out yet, but I expect it to be cheaper.

Look at all those tins.

Haven’t touched a GOW game since number 3 on PS3.

It is $69 on their website but in the catalogue it shows $79. I think it will be $69 if you pre order and get it delivered.

Can’t find it on Big W.

Yes, it was called God of War : Ascension or something. I skipped it. Number 3 was the last I played.

Edit: Big W catalogue out today with $69 price for game.

Besides the adjustment to 30fps, I am slowly learning and love playing it.

I watched some streams, what I saw didn't really jump out and scream play me now.

To be honest I prefer the combat style of the older games, not a fan of the souls like combat and it looks pretty slow with pacing, lots of walk n talk. The older games had a lot more epic spectacle, they opened with a bang!

The Boi is a tank in it.

The new play style is part of the reboot and it did feel strange at first.

There is the walk and talk but it’s the start of the game and to be expected. It should open up. Already defeated my firs boss which took me 3 tries. Just getting my head around the controls and the new third person view perspective.

Is there a 60fps mode on Pro? I know there’s performance and resolution mode. Could be unlocked.

It feels like an epic game though.

Performance is an unlocked framerate mode trying to hit 60fps. Hovers around the 40-50fps mark. Resolution targets 30fps but still suffers from framerate drops. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a middle ground which just offers a rock solid 30fps.

The game was at 100k viewers on twitch earlier this morning, now it's at 40k, so I guess I'm not the only one not feeling it. I'm heading up to the sunshine coast tomorrow so I really couldn't play it even if I wanted too.

Sony are killing it with Playstation Plus at the moment.
September: Destiny 2 and God of War 3 Remastered.
Last month had Dead by Daylight which I have to admit, I'm really enjoying.

Lets have a quick look over there....oh..... Prison Architect and a Lego game huh?

Looks like an up sell month, destiny 2 screams please buy our overpriced DLC, hoping to snag players. Looks like I'm not the only one that noticed.

More like $105 when they aren't discounting the season 1 pass... Because it is $40 expansion, 2nd year $30 pass, and year 1 $35 pass. Although currently, I think the year 1 season pass is 50% off so it is ~$87 until next week or tomorrow. The year 2 season pass is why I'm out, don't want to pay $70 just to keep up with the game, especially since there are so many games out the next 2 months.

Giving away GoW3 remaster which is always on sale dirt cheap is a good way to get customers to buy the new one.

Notice that's the trend now with these monthly freebies, last month xbox got For Honor, clearly giving it away to boost the userbase and sell some DLC.

Gamepass is used in a similar capacity, we get OnRush this month which is a new release but since it flopped they want people playing it.

Sony's dominance is continuing. They should do a venom game now. Then a versus game where you have the infamous characters fight spiderman and venom in a what if game.

I bought Shenmue I & II and still haven’t played it, and I’m looking forward to starting it on the weekend.

I can pick this up later on when I’m in the mood for something like that.

RDR2 really throws a spanner in the works, like you guys I've been trying to get through backlog of stuff and I have yet to finish God of War(half way).

With games requiring 20-30hrs of investment, it gets hard to find the time to finish off stuff. I hear that there is some DLC coming for this, might be better to wait till early next year and buy up the complete edition on sale.

I'm going to wait on a Ultimate edition or so later on too, hearing the main story is only 15 hours or so, I'd be better to wait to see if they flesh that out with DLC content. Just picked up Yakuza 2, Shenmue and have been holding off RDR2 but with everyone else literally everyone else going to be playing it I think it's inevitable I'll drop everything to play that so I can't see time to give this time.
