Sold out until Feb/March if you don't have a pre-order, this is damn insane! Meanwhile Mass XB1's on all the shelves...

Never seen a frenzy like this here in Aus, even my PS2 was near launch and readily available.

I actually have two more pre orders with jb for around the 12th of December but if someone here wants one let me know and I'll let it go for cost. Also if you want one before Christmas big w are still taking orders until Sunday I heard.

We just got confirmation of an extra allocation of stock for mid/late Dec. Still won't cover all preorders we have, but it'll go a long way to filling the 2014 backlog.

Recommendation: Don't play the lackluster launch lineup (apart from Resogun). Go troll the Xbone thread.

Simplest recommendation is: If you don't already have PS+, get PS+.

If you already have PS+ don't buy Knack.

PS+ content maturing on PS4 will be what might drag me in ahead of the big hitters.

Recommendations:

Killzone - Very pretty, serviceable gameplay, better than Ryse in every way. MP is a bit shit though compared to COD or BF4
NFS - It's great fun, like HP. Looks the tits also
Resogun - Free with PSN+, well worth the $20 on it's own otherwise, looks fucking amazing and plays really nicely
Flower - Free with PSN+, not much actual game here, but more than Ryse. Gorgeous at 1080p 60fps, very relaxing to play.
BF4 - Best console version available, multi is excellent but avoid 64 player for now
AC4 - Best AC since 2 apparently, looks great in 1080p

Great impressions. If the Xbots could pull themselves away from Digital Foundry and Gaf we'd probably get some semi intelligent impressions.
