I have a Japanese disc version that stills works on my current 360 but don't you have to download these games on the Xbone?

New dash update went well, everything looks to work ok right now, seems very snappy and fast, big improvement over the old dash.

Agreed. Seems much easier to access friends and initiate a party at a glance.

Fuuuuck, if Ikaruga is added through BC I might have to bite. Silly reason to buy a current console but I haven't been able to play it for ages.

Funny, out of all the games I downloaded I fired up doom.

It's still cool :)

so I've been hammering the 'check for update' cycle all week, only to find that as a Preview member, I got the public build last week sometime.

Good to know the update is still a buggy POS. This afternoon I turned the machine on only for it to give me a blank homescreen. Had to sign out & in again before anything showed up, and it's been like that since the NXOE preview started, ffs.

I fired up Doom 2 first (as it was the first on my list that had finished downloading)! Still an amazing, terrifying game. Such tight level design. Almost perfection.

Has anyone else applied the recent 333mb update? I was wondering if anyone else found it incredibly slow to download.

They should give you the ability to dl it to a usb and install it... They could torrent the updates to help with speeds and server loads.

new BC games today:

Braid
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION
Doritos Crash Course
Fable III
Halo: Reach
Hydro Thunder
Iron Brigade
Kane & Lynch 2
Motocross Madness
MS.PAC-MAN
Peggle
Portal: Still Alive
Spelunky
Splosion Man
Ticket to Ride™
Zuma’s Revenge!

Well, I'm glad Braid and Halo: Reach are in there (I'd much rather it as a MCC DLC), but still...

Fuck me, you can't please anyone these days. They finally make Doritos Crash Course backwards compatible and people still complain.

But in all seriousness, I have 6 of those games so I'm happy but I agree with you unfunk, nothing to wet my pants about.

I'm hoping for Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Red Dead Redemption. Those three alone will make me very happy.

I laughed when I downloaded it for free but with a few other mates I had a surprisingly good time. Some cool and some frustrating level design .

Xbox sale starts today but nothing has been listed since it's not the 22nd in the US. Having a quick gander at a couple of titles, Halo 5 appears to be 20% off, ROTTR 33% off and the Witcher 3 50% off. Looks to be a good sale.

I'll be jumping on halo and tomb raider for sure.

Installed AC2 and was very impressed that it also installs any dlc you have for the game. We have the GOTY edition, so it installed extra sequences and the hidden templar stuff.

It runs pretty well and you can do stuff like take screen shots and videos. You can also tap the back and start buttons to access the xbox 360 menus.

Only issue I have encountered is with the hidden glyphs. Instead of hidden they all appear as if they have been located. I walked away from one because I thought I had found it already. It was only because I was menu diving I realised it was still hidden. It does make searching for glyphs easier though... I guess...

Was having a chat with a good friend in NZ yesterday and he was telling me about a great deal he got. He had bought an Xbone with Halo Guardians a few weeks before for Xmas for the family and a week or two ago the same store had a promotion where you get an additional 2 games for $20. So he returned his console (still sealed) for a refund and then went to get the new deal, but they had no stock anywhere in NZ. He rang customer service and complained then after she tried to shrug him off he wanted to speak to the customer service manager she changed he tune, took his number to call him back.

Few hours later and an Xbone with 3 games was on his way plus a package from Microsoft with an additional 5 games, 12 month XBL subscription and 6 months Netflix.
