Beautiful. When starting up the console is there a long wait for it to actually start? Or more to the point- is there a blank screen for about a minute or so before things start happening???

Yeah, I started to get worried but then changed screens. All good now.

Mine is checked in at the Brisbane depot. I hope it's an early delivery so I can grab some games.

Went to bed once I picked my console up, so I got up at 6. Updating with no issues now only took about 3 minutes

Xbox use code.........Greatest feature ever!!

So far so good, update took around 6 minutes. Voice gestures work great, UI is very slick and nice, what happened GAF insiders??  The console is so damn quite and it ain't as big as I thought it was
Downloading games is still very fast, grabbed KI and my free FIFA, FIFA was playable after 20% download.
Time for Breaky and a shower heading into JB to grab some games and then don't plan to leave my couch all weekend

Still not delivered... Looking at Xbone Smartglass and am jealous of people who have updated their gamer pics and gotten achievements and uploaded clips...

Well, for the reason I bought the machine in the first place, it sure has delivered. Hotlaps of Bathurst in the #5 FPR Falcon is fucking excellent.
Currently 29th!
Took a photo for the moment before I plummet to 200,009th

Doesn't look like we get Xbox Fitness though maybe? :(

It's going to be a long weekend knowing this is out. Might stab my eyes so I don't have to read impressions. ;)

Maybe Unfunk bought one and I can perve through his window and watch him gesture. :t0mby:

Went to jb this morning thinking I'd have to line up and i was the only one in the store  menus are pretty slick, had a few lag issues trying to dl things and errors, looks nice though installing games seems to take forever though......I decided to give Ryse the flick after all the shit reviews and got ass4 instead, I think that was a wise decision in the end.

Have been a PC gamer now for a good while. It's awesome, except around new console launches. I want one. Congrats all on your new purchases.

What local services are connected and running out of the box? If this thing can do cool non-gaming shit it might get one over the line for me. On that front though I think Apple TV has us covered.

Nope. I have the money, I just need to keep it for a CPAP machine right now >_<;
I guess I can pick one up when I get the health insurance refund on it..

I patched fine at 9.10ish but the store was being a bit flaky. Kicked off Forza install set the console to power down after an hour of inactivity and headed into work.

At work and it appears MS is under a DDOS attack of some sort? None of their sites are working.. apparently starting to come back on line now.

XBL getting mildly hammered should not take MS completely down therefore I blame SDF GAF.

It's back now.

I was getting DNS errors, so I'm guessing their DNS servers got overwhelmed by all those new xbones coming online, took pretty much all of the other MS services out of action too. lol.

battlefield 4 campaign looks great to me, huge difference from playing it on the 360 yeah pc ppl would think it looks average to me though it's a vast improvement over the last gen consoles.

Xbox Fitness is there. Disappointing though. 2 P90X vids (Plyo, Shoulders and Arms). 1 Insanity vid (Plyo Cardio Circuit) - One of the easier Insanity videos - Still hard though.
No Focus T25.
Then a bunch of other crud. Will check out anything that looks interesting over time.
Seems more of a 'sample' than a fully featured product tbh.

Played a bit of Forza5.
Got a heap of stuff downloading now.
Will have some brekky and launch into Dead Rising3.

What's the best shop to buy from tonight? Big W? Preordering is for people who don't want to live a little.

I got the money for the console but a game and xbl sub tips the scales into the "can't afford" category thanks to having to have to buy a full fairing kit for the bike to replace the one that was smashed.

Ass Creed IV has arrived, still waiting on a console. I could drive to the airport and back at this rate.
