DF test freesync out, not surprising results since my experience with Gsync is that it really doesn't help low fps situations as you would expect and is a bit disappointing.

I think VRR is more useful for high FPS 144hz, keeping locked 144hz is much harder, so having the ability to dip between 60-144hz isn't visually jarring and the lcd panel refresh still looks good.

But I've found in low 30-50hz situations, it still looks crappy, input lag sucks and LCD monitor will flicker or you'll see inversion artifacts.

Ultimately you just want locked framerates for visual consistency and input delay consistency, LCDs work better when running at their optimal refresh rate.

Early hands on with Nier for xbox. Looks to be the best overall version.

Played a bit of Nier last night, game looks crisp on my TV, not sure about the HDR on this one, looks washed out.

Still experiencing occasional frame drops, graphically the game looks dull and there are invisible walls all over the place. So far I'm just doing fetch quests after the cool intro level sequence. I hope it gets a bit more interesting...

Straight from Turn10 on this VOD @ 1 hour 37 min they are making it very clear that the entire team is working on making FM7 better in every way, and only working on free content. They are listening to the community. Yay!

Good move imo, releasing a new version every 2 years and having to grind out all the same cars/content you previously owned got tiring and expensive imo.

With Gamepass they should be moving to a model of releasing one game and improving/adding content over time, say 3-4 years. With the new studios MS purchased they shouldn't be leaning on Forza so much to fill out their release schedule.

Forza 7 was the final nail in the coffin for me. I didn't like the way they went. I didn't like the complete lack of rewards (cars) for returning players and the whole loot box system was terrible.

For those that want a game that the kid wants to watch, and you want to play, I recommend Spintires' Mudrunner which is currently 60% off on the xbox store.

Great little game, which is virtually a mud simulator. Kid loves watching the big trucks go through the mud and it's fun as a player. Much better than playing fucking Farm Simulator for the tractors.

MS needs to take advantage of that and win back some of the sony converts to xbox again. In the future gamers will be replaced by robots that play games and nobody will be able to stop them buying all this microtransaction shit because the illuminati can fake sales by hiring robots to play online to make it appear there is a lot of people buying the microtransactions and playing their lootbox infested titles which makes the boss of these companies believe people want it. (because the robots are buying it and this then replaces human gamers)

IT's time gamers boycott every game developer that does this so it causes a crash in the game industry and scares them all to follow nintendo and make games normal again. I don't like the mobile phone generation of gamers. They have ruined everything. To stop them ruining the hobby people have to start investing in companies like CDPR to demonstrate they are serious about consumer rights and vote with money to support a future of non-abusive practices which addicts people to spend money on ingame shit.

Corporations are replacing real gamers with fake gamers. Just like pornstars have replaced real tits with fake ones. This is what they do: give you the cheap imitation of what is real and try to pass it off as real, not give you the original. Blade Runner warned us of this. Even the love from sony was fake.

Microsoft should have given capcom a moneyhat to continue the Dragon Dogma franchise by funding the sequel to it.

Much like nintendo funding the creation of Bayonetta 2. DMC has a lot of competition now in that space. Lot of third person action games on the market but not as many open world action rpg titles with arcadey physics and fun combat.

Sony has Street Fighter locked down. MS needs Dragon's Dogma.

How'd you end up getting on with Nier lestat?

I played the first few sections and then I got side tracked with dark souls 2 and 3 back to back on PC, then that led me to Nioh on PC, nearly finished that.

So I plan to get back it soon once I'm finally done with Nioh.

I read that the way the seasons work is that they change once a week in realtime. So everyone around the world is playing in snow or a week, then spring for a week, etc.

Interesting idea; not sure I like it. If certain circuits or arenas are better in certain seasons it's a bit annoying. But then again as we only play together on Mondays for ~2 hours a week I'm sure there's enough content to fill that time.

I'd also like to see some innovation in the king/infected modes but I haven't seen anything about that. Then again, almost all information these days is disseminated through video instead of written articles and I can never be fucked watching videos. So maybe there has been some additions in that area.

Good ad. But going to try my hardest to stave off from buying this day one... Shadow of the Tomb Raider, RDR2 and the backlog will keep me occupied.

Plus, I'm finally getting around to Forza 7 and I'm falling in love all over again.

There's some talk on OzBargain as well that if you have an OG Xbone that you can still get a decent deal too.

I've got a fkn OG one that doesn't take discs very well unless u choc it up so if it actually worked id want to swap it. A good deal for most of us who buy NBA each year though if you are on the edge of trading up, I have not really touched 2k18 though the constant micro transactions just put me off.
