At least at this point I can't blame jb. They got the order out, auspost delivered half of it, and now I am waiting on Toll.

My boss went to the midnight launch, took today off work... and now his Intertronz are down, and he can't use the Xbone. Poor bastard.

First reports of buggered aussie XBones are just coming in, common fault is dead BR drive as any discs can't be read.

It's only initial reports though. One of our stores had 5 returned this morning already, probably a shit batch.

Hope you guys get a good one.

My ex ordered an iPhone 5 last Xmas and once Toll collected it from the airport for delivery it got damaged and had to be sent back to Apple for evaluation and then they sent another. Took almost four weeks in total.

Hope this helps.

Apparently not.

I suggested this to him, apparently it doesn't work. Not sure of the details though, it might just be that his connection's too slow.

Fuck that's bad. Where do you work BSU?

Can't complain so far. Very fast transition from game to UI. FIFA looks ridiculous! NBA 2k looks amazing as well. About to start up Ghosts then will take a look at Battlefield 4. So far I'm very impressed.

By the way- anyone have any ideas how I can play 2 players on NBA 2k14? I tried so much shit but nothing was working. Played FIFA with my brother and it worked fine but NBA doesn't even register a 2nd controller...

I'd tell you but reprisal can be a bugger ;) Even though I don't blurt out commercially sensitive info.

I work at a retailer that sells stuff, including games, that's all i'll say :)

Honestly, it's not going to be a big thing, we plan for and expect a percentage of buggered units. The fact that it's been one store with 5 units with the same problem sounds like a dud batch, nothing more yet.

Fuck this thing is quiet.

Looks great in the unit, power brick hidden, size is no drama to me especially if it's designed to be always on and is less than whisper quiet, that's way more important

They'll probably look same I guess, maybe PS4 a little sharper with better macro detail in the distance due to the higher res.

I'm interested to hear some Ranch impressions of ACIV. Very surprised to see so many people jump onboard after the shitpile that was the last game.

Sigh... such a frustrating day. Mandatory updates are coming down like treacle here.

Initial system update wasn't too bad... 10 minutes or so... but by the time I had everything hooked up to the AV system properly (took me a while to remember that my receiver doesn't do HDMI sound)... it's become very bleh.

An hour to get Killer Instinct to 42%.

Gave up and now trying Ryse... but after 20 mins that has only just ticked over to 9%.

Was eb supposed to give me a code/card for FIFA?
My wife picked mine up and I can't fine one in the box, she says she didn't get anything else.

Hercy: Big W might be ok. They hadn't even unboxed anything yet and seemed to have heaps of stock.

Jizz: You should have got a card which was handed to me separately from the console (eg in the bag with Forza). Get back on them ASAP and hope they don't think you are bullshitting them.

Eb Dapto

All good, called them and they apologized and said to bring receipt in and they will give me one

So far just tried forza, looks nice and less shimmer than before, rumble in the triggers is a cool feature.

Downloads picked up a bit... enough to finish downloading for dead rising and killer instinct.

Both seem very good.

Downloading the install/update for Forza and it got to 11% before I started getting chucked off Live.

:(

Oh well, back to Killer Instinct (make that the Cricket... it's gone insane at the GABBA).

I had Foxtel working with the HDMI-in there for a while... but now I get nought but a black screen? Don't know what the Hell I have done there.
