Worst naming convention ever, but:

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, as well as Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue were confirmed for a 2020 release on Xbox One.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix combines two HD collections of Kingdom Hearts games and includes the following:

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (cutscenes)
Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded (cutscenes)

Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue includes Kingdom Hearts 0.2: a fragmentary passage, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, and the film Kingdom Hearts: Back Cover.

I'm assuming that's the entire series up until Kingdom Hearts 3?

Ffffffffuuuu, 20yrs! I'm still getting my head around that 2050 is the same time away ahead of us as 1990 is behind us.

Was the OG Xbox the last console that was segregated by regions when it was released or was there another? I definitely remember the hoo-ha over Pal and NTSC Halo when they launched.

I think PS3 and x360 started off region segregated then they gave up.

Nier Automata is dropping on the game pass very soon, which is great because it's probably the number 1 game I've been after for quite a while.

It's kinda weird that we're staring down the barrel of next gen consoles and the current gen still retail for $400+ (even though some sales have been cheaper).

Remember when they used to hit that $199 or cheaper mark?

And yet I bought my PS4 brand new in July 2014 for $400 thanks to Dick Smith's special and eBay doing 20% off. Good times.

Of course, that's why I don't want to cave now. Besides, with the Series X being BC I'll have a lot of games to catch up on, plus all my 360 xbla purchases. Would love to play the MCC collection with my oldest boy, get him off that bloody tablet and it's shit games.

I paid $400 delivered for my PS4 on launch imported from Amazon US thanks to the dollar at the time.

Around the same for the pro thanks to ebay sales as well.

If the new gen are still around the $650 then that's a win for us. Though I'd say they'll be more than that.

AUD has rebounded lately, so the launch prices may not be that bad after all here. If the AUD can stabilise around the 70c mark, I'm expecting around $699.

The thing that's going to hurt is the expandable storage, Those 1TB drives are going to be around $300-400 which is pricey. Luckily xbox users have gamepass, so savings from not having to buy full priced launch games can be funneled into storage upgrades.

The expandable storage will be the killer, I have a funny feeling a standard HDD ain't going to be supported.

I highly doubt consoles will be $699 regardless of the exchange rate, time has proven every generation that we pay more off the shelf. In NZ I'd be surprised if it's under $899nzd. Never forget that we had the highest price for the PS2 at $1200. Most consoles since then have been $600-800 at launch but next gen will have quite high end tech compared to the tech last launch.

I think they've confirmed regular hard drives can be used for BC and backups, but to actually play a Series X game you'll have to install it to a new fancypants expensive drive.

I believe a standard hard drive can still be used on PS5 but only for PS4 games.

At least you can store games on a normal hard drive and copy them back. Just depends on how many games you want to drop into at a time. Even then it's probably easier to delete it and download it again when you want it.

More I read the more I'm certain a $749 or $799 launch price for the Xbox and $799 or $849 launch price for the PS5. Either way, a bit too rich for me to start with. Want to buy a new GPU this year instead.

I just don't think 3rd party western games can support a platform any more.

Microsoft shutting down Mixer. I was surprised considering how much they splurged on streamers and how baked in Mixer is on Xbox.

They're directing people to Facebook instead

I guess mixer didn't gain the traction they needed, looks like they've sold it Facebook but retained the xcloud/IP, part of the deal involves facebook using xcloud infrastructure, so that might be a big win for MS.
