Re: Master Race gaming thread
I just bought one of these bad boys. Using the ebay 20% off "clickmore" code, it came to $876 delivered.

Should get it early next week, will go nicely with the GTX 1080 coming. Looking forward to that gsync smoothness.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Fingers crossed.....Did you order from Newegg?
My first experience shopping with them, the shipping is a little pricey at 40 bucks but when the card is 650 Aud shipped compared to 780-800 bucks locally it's a non issue.
Took 5 working days to arrive but the process was seem less. Will use again in the future for sure.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
It's through amazon, I expect when they ship it will take about a week and half to get here. Not in a huge rush, My monitor just shipped I'll have a new monitor on Monday to play with in the meantime.

Amazon are pretty good and their tracking system (I used amazon app) was very detailed. They have lots of shipping methods incase you're inpatient.
I to had import from them when the item I wanted wasn't available here.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Yeah I've ordered other stuff from amazon, it usually takes 1.5 weeks to arrive, I selected the 7-10 day shipping option. I went with amazon because I feel more confident returning stuff to them if I get a dud card.
In other news, MSY listed the Gainward phoenix cards for sale at reasonable prices ($1009 for OC, $1039 GLH), stocks limited of course but it's a positive sign we'll see some reasonable prices here over time.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Very happy with the performance so far, Project Cars VR is far more appealing now that it's got some more definition and clarity. Nba 2k16 runs at 55-60fps at 4k DSR......
Will give it a real test out over the weekend.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
There's a part of me that says just get a 4k monitor now and get a 1080. 1070 is pointless with a 980Ti.
The other part of me says just hold off and get the inevitable 1080Ti which will surely crush everything like the 980Ti did.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Yep that my plan, 1070 is just a stop gap (a very nice stop gap at that) till the 1080ti and a new TV for it

Re: Master Race gaming thread
I desperately want a 1080 but 1070 should be enough for my 1440p monitor and I can fund it partially with my 970
