I went for a Mini-ITX case so I could sit it on my desk and not have it looking like a monolith. Lot smaller than I thought and looks fantastic.

Downloading Witcher 3 GOTY now and apparently I'll be able to fire it up in 7 hours..

Yeah I was surprised to find out the Forge editor is full fledged client you can use to play Halo 5 Arena/Forge maps on. No warzone but I think Ms is using this like Forza Apex to beta test and see what sort of interest the PC market has for Halo.

Pretty cool, will cop and try out for sure.

Got a Corsair Obsidian 250D case. It's a bit over half the height of my old standard sized case, but a bit wider.

I couldn't be arsed going through the process of speccing each component myself and building it out, so I went for a prebuilt system from Scorptec to save time.

Just skipped watching the footy finals in lieu of Witcher 3. Good decision.

Spent $180 on a 480gb SSD recently.

I have to say, I can't think of a better upgrade for $70 than a 240gb SSD, literally nothing else will give you that much extra speed for that price, or any price, nice pickup.

Feel like I've evolved. Picked up an Acer Predator in the eBay spring sale for $930, great price I thought. Was tempted to get a non Gsync 4K monitor but don't have the GPU yet to push those resolutions

This display has extremely thin bezels on the sides and top, and I have read that it touts a zero-frame, edge-to-edge screen. However, I am seeing roughly a 1/4" border of screen/glass which apparently cannot be used. I tried the desktop resize function in my video settings, but 100% hortizontal and vertical fall short by this amount. Is this by design? What is zero-frame supposed to mean? What is edge-to-edge supposed to mean? ...if not to be taken literally.

All the review shots show the same as yours flip, not really zero frame. Bit of a shame but I can live with it.

My build has gone from budget to not so budget. I'm getting a z170 motherboard and i7 6700k. Would be negligent to install a stock cooler into that so I'm looking at third party jobs. Fan vs liquid? I want a quiet machine so it's all going into a Fractal Define R5 case.

I've blown my budget. With some serious diplomacy and my birthday next week I should be good.

I have a Fractal Kelvin S24, highly recommend it. Loop is expandable as it uses G 1/4 fittings. Also own the Noctua U14S, wanted a Hyper 212 but they were sold out. Air coolers are a lot simpler, but bulky. AIOs are a lot smaller but there is a small chance the loop/pump will fail at some point.

The Noctua U14S set me back $120. I think eBay lists the 212 for around $70-80. Or just go stock until you can afford one, I used a stock cooler for about 2 years before upgrading
