Didn't they just port it over though?
Re: Master Race gaming thread
Yeah, but not half arsed like some companies. After their work on Rise of the Tomb Raider I am a huge fan.

GameHED's rape dungeon?
Re: Master Race gaming thread
Just had a quick go of Ryse. Fun kind of game but damn if it isn't inconsistent. Janky as fuck, peaks around 100fps but then drops to around 45fps in some scenes.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Just learned the hard way this morning that any apps or programs installed through Windows Store after the latest update must be installed on the same drive as the Store app (which by default is C:\ and can't be changed to my knowledge). I was having troubles with Forza Apex not updating properly last week so deleted it and downloaded it again. No big deal but this morning the download finished and it would not update with error messages cropping up all over the place. Anyway, long story short, I was previously downloading all my games to a J:\ drive but switched the default back to C:\ - appears to be working again. Only issue though is that my storage SSD is not that big. Forza is fine but it won't cope with a monster like Gears of War 4. Why I hate the idea of UWP, something like this occurring and nothing you can really do to correct it.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Hmm that's really strange. Better not be the case going forward. I have a separate SSD from the OS one to put games on. Be pretty annoyed if this basic function was disabled.
Re: Master Race gaming thread
Only seems to be from the current update. Couldn't install anything, not even Netflix. Changed the download location and no dramas. Will let you know once the Forza download finishes. But yeah, I only have a 256gig SSD and would prefer not to install huge arse games on it

Re: Master Race gaming thread
GOG is great, I'd use them exclusively if they had a better library. DRM free plus 30 day money back guarantee.

loving The Witness, I enjoy these think outside the box games... Braid is one of the best games I've played so I had to try this.

The witness was fantastic, the puzzles are so perfectly crafted in the way they teach you without really teaching you.
A couple of tips. If you get to an area and it's over your head,go somewhere else eventually you'll have the knowledge for it to come back. Also if your stuck on a puzzle in a set you know the jist too just take a break and come back tomorrow or at another time. Clearing your mind helps.

Will be ordering my new gear shortly. Contemplating which game I'll be christening it with. I'm thinking a second play through of Deus Ex Human Revolution followed immediately by a cranked Mankind Divided would be a worthy induction.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
I'd say just watch the 12-minute recap at the start of Mankind Divided, would save you having to grind through Human Rev again...unless you're absolutely jonesing for it haha. Mankind Divided is more of the same but better.
Re: Master Race gaming thread
Windows Store is garbage. Finally got Forza working (using Powershell) but it refused to recognise my GPU and played the game on ultra low settings. Deleted. Was going to buy Gears of War through Windows Store but will wait now until Scorpio and play it that way.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
I hope MS continue to launch games on other platforms other than W10 store, like they did with ROTR and Quantum Broke.
I forgot which game it was, but one required Win10 Anniversary update as a requirement to play.
I can't upgrade to it, well I tried, installation process just hangs at a percentage.

Yeah, one of the best things about PC gaming is the variety of delivery. Windows Store and Windows in general shows that every time something is update they break something or it doesn't work the way it's supposed to

Re: Master Race gaming thread
New PC should be ready for pickup on Tuesday. i7 6700K and a GTX 1070 should get me nicely burning on the games. After being a console gamer for years I still haven't bothered with a PS4 or XBone so I think I'm a Master Race convert.
Monitor I may upgrade soon depending on what bonus I get from work (or refund from the taxman). Any recommendations? I'd be looking at a 27 inch.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
It's more attractive than ever imo.
Especially for xbots, in the coming months I can play halo 5 multiplayer (server browser now confirmed), forza horizon 3 and gears of war 4 (this is now looking awesome) all at at least 1080/60... That will do me for a long time, I could retire the Xbox if we didn't need it for Netflix and plex.

Re: Master Race gaming thread
Woah Halo 5 and Forza 3 are coming to PC? Didn't know that. Will have to get those. Gears of War will probably be good for a bash too.
