I need to spend more time in this game. I've only got about 20k creds so far, and still in the Sidewinder. What should I be aiming for? So far I'm probably enjoying just zipping about doing the fedex missions I find. So I guess I want to aim for some sort of cargo hauler?

BTW, I have been on the receiving end of an interdiction. I got out of it ok though. I didn't have anything onboard anyhow.

If you're finding the laid back to and fro of trading is working out then yes, get the Hauler, build the jump range, cargo capacity and power supply and forget burdening yourself with guns that will not help you in anything serious. Hauler, Adder then decide how you want to play from there. The money making can be a bit of a sliding scale. I burnt through a lot tonight on missiles...so that needs a review.

Just be aware that some of the missions you're doing may be building you favour with the Feds or Alliance and some of us have already or are on the way to joining the Empire which is the red space in your galaxy map.

Hey anyone who is getting or has an X55 might find like me that the plate at the bottom of the stick is a bit aggrivating after a while. I found extra thick mouse pads at Big W. Easy fix.

So, my aim has been to try to move to an area of the 'mapped' Milky Way that the Empire are active in.
I have no idea how I am where I am. Does it randomly start you in certain places?

So, I have about 40k creds now, and am somewhere in the 'north west' part of the known places.
I must be in a bad part of the galaxy as I get interdicted a lot, and end up in dogfights with the opponent. I've managed to get away every time.
If I die though, I know I loose my ship, but do I loose my 40k aswell?

I was finding my awesome G710+ is now overkill for ED with a HOTAS. I only ever need to type in a system name or reply to the odd chat in space. $20 bluetooth keyboard from the supermarket fixed with double sided tape to an old laptop stand. Awesome.

This puts a bitmap in a Frontier folder in your pictures folder. (thanks Burnz) I just used paint to save them as Jpeg. Quality wasn't an option...unless it takes a screenshot at your settings...and mine is Ultra.
