Yeah but the site lets you change the currency you purchase the game in to US$. Then oddly the price of the game is $75.00 US. The current conversion is over $84. In the end you save a few bucks changing the purchase currency to US, if my maths is correct.

I can't figure out how to give myself a tag and it doesn't want to let me add commander spectacular either...I'll get there. It's initially quite complicated. Took me ages just to figure out how to free look in the cockpit. I've already been killed by a city...twice.

I know it's $90 for a beta but it's well worth it if you're into space sims.. Been having a ball trading around chasing all the good trade routes. 20k away from a cobra mk3 then it's stalking newbies on the trade routes!

Bought lifetime pass for 190 aus. Definitely worth every cent.
Only been in Beta for 1 week and already had 2 updates fixing issues.
There are some things you find yourself asking, "they should have this", and, "they should have that" etc.
It is still very much a typical beta and can be frustrating at times but yeah overall its pretty good.
Big community and the E:D forums have a shit ton of info, although their forums are a bit higgledy piggledy.
Using the Saitek X52 and its fucking sweet. This game and ones alike are bringing joysticks back, the only way to play space sims imo.

My E:D name is Ziltoid Omniscient. Cloud and i are having fun zipping back and forth making cash for the Cobra mk3.

Cant wait to see the final product, what a beast of a game.

Try add my private group "Spectacular". Then play private group online then you will only run into players in that group. Way less crashes and bugs that way.

Open play is a tad buggy atm but hey it's only a beta..

It must support controllers someone above is using a 360 pad + kb combo and another is using a flight stick. Also, beta price includes full game, there is no way any dev would get away with charging $80 for a demo. *insert Crackdown joke here*

You pay for the beta which gives you the game at release, sans expansions. I'm using the 360 controller which works really well but I'm now considering flight sticks.

Without sinking megabucks into a flight stick I might not really use or need, I decided to buy the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro from EB today. Retailing at $59 I thought with it being Logitech I can't go wrong at that price but then EB went and sold it to me for $36.00

If I like the way the stick handles I'll look at a flashier stick set up.
