May 8th by the sound of things. You guys get shafted with that exclusive content- the DLC is reasonably priced if you raid, and a little bit expensive IMO if you don't. But take out one of the two new strikes? For a non-raider, that's not an awesome deal for $20.

Don't worry jizz, with or without the DLC you get the same strike over and over because the algorithm is fucking garbage. I swear once the Nexus appears, I'm looking at about half a dozen in a row if I don't actively quit out and re-renter the playlist. Speaking of, I believe old mate Sekrion is on the cards for tonight, Void burn on the Nightfall and no Lightswitch for a change.

if you have powerful enough weapons it can be done, 1 person can just watch for the minotaur while the other 2 just snipe and rocket nexus, if the watcher starts getting over run then everyone just finish it off

Swordbreaker fucking wrecks that Minotaur. Also, I'm pretty sure it can't melee you if you're crouching. I ran right up and squatted next to it with my Titan then punched it where its balls would be until it died, it was swinging but it couldn't connect.

Speaking of connecting, PSN was extremely dodgy for me last night. It took forever to actually log in, and I suffered a few complete drop outs during the Nightfall (one of which caused a wipe). Thankfully the friends I was playing with were patient. When I ran it on my Warlock, the connection got a bit flakey at the beginning and every enemy in the strike just stood still. I sprinted all the way to the mob of Goblins just in front of the boss room before anything tried to attack me. I was surprised I was able to continue without killing the three Servitors.

Got another Praxic, and some useless legendary guns. Par for the course.

FYI, here's the best known solo cheese spot for the Nexus (skip to 0:25):

If you screw up the jump, I can say from experience the Warlock and Hunter can get up there pretty easily from the ground anyway (just find the highest ground along the outside of the room near the cheese spot and jump from there). I've never tried it from there on a Titan but I reckon Catapult would get the job done.

Of course, getting to the Nexus solo is the tricky part.

House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn't make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year. House of Wolves will have a new cooperative end game activity focused on variety, replayability, and skill – a new battle Arena called The Prison of Elders.

Prison of Elders sounds good, but no Raid? Really?

Raid players are saddened, non-Raid players are rejoicing. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran out of time to make one as good as VoG.

Yep, 3 man firefight by the sound of things. I think that'll be awesome (I loved it in Halo), but no new 6 player content is a kick in the balls. I seem to recall new raids being actively advertised along with the season pass, but of course any sign of that is gone. At the very least, my raid group was under the impression that there'd be a new one, so it's disappointing news. That said, if it genuinely just wasn't ready, I'd rather it was popped back in the oven for a while than rushed out. It's hard to imagine it being included in the season pass any more though.

Next week we find out the details of exotic and (apparently) Raid legendary upgrade paths. I'm confident Bungie won't fuck up exotics again, but Raid weapons... That they're upgradeable at all is an interesting choice. I'm curious to see how it's handled.

Expect a ~6GB update soon to prep for the expansion. That should have the vault space upgrade in it, which can't come soon enough. All of my characters can no longer pick up most types of engram, the postmaster's maxed at 20 items, and dealing with the weapons section of my vault is like a really annoying sliding puzzle.

I've just about finished getting all non-crucible faction rep counters set up across all characters, should get a decent haul of cool shit on day one.
