Hopefully they release a Vita port. Please. Buses are superior to couch and you know it.
As for it not coming to the Wii U and Xbone, everyone knows this is probably justa timed exclusive.
Just like Resident Evil Revelations was for 3DS and now sequel is coming to home consoles. Capcom is not stupid. They probably just accepted a moneyhat from sony to get all the bone-only gamers to sell their console to buy a ps4 to play this.
It's a common tactics these days. (look at monster hunter for instance. Nintendo got this as exclusive but mostly this is because MHtri engine was created for wii so it stands to reason to just make the upgraded sequel exclusive, but the franchise itself is not exclusive. Sequels will probably appear on whatever handheld platform has the highest userbase)
Hopefully they add some more of the alpha street fighter characters in this too later on. And FFS just have zangief die in a bear wrestling accident and replace him with haggar already. Unlike Gief Haggar can wield pipes. Have the story centre around a Gill clone kidnapping Jessica and Haggar becomes the main character this time. He is out to destroy the illuminati and goes all jesse ventura on the bad guy to find out where the cult members are and works with Guy to stop the NWO from using street fighters as mind-controlled killers by using his team of investigators on his conspiracy tv show to locate the illegal fighting tournaments and obtain all the intel on where to find the leaders. They need to hire comic book writer this time to flesh out the characters so we actually care about them like in fighting animes.
Shame this isn't a wii u game. Imagine what capcom could do with the amibos...
Anyway, agreeing with lestat before I'd seen lestat's post. Actually I think he couldn't have put it better.
Those visuals do not say 2014/2015 to me. Ryu's clothes look like they're made from clay. Chun Li's face may as well have ported from Dead or Alive 2 on the DC. Sure, Ryu's kamehamedoken looks quite cinematic, but it's not special, it doesn't stand out, it didn't even get my attention until I looked for something to critique. The background does indeed look like SF 4.5, as do the models. They already did the revive-the-classics thing and SFIV was great in that way, but in my opinion SFV's subsequent role is to be showing off fresh, new styles in terms of technical quality, body style and fashion. These few shots show us the same hobbit feet and thunder thighs of SFIV, nothing technically impressive really at all, and the same old costumes. Chun Li still wearing fat, unrealistic, plastic toy dog collars on her wrists.
I know, we haven't seen 1% of it yet. But the <1% we have seen puts initial expectations somewhere that's pretty average.
I would have liked to see something optimistically aiming for the fluidity in character appearance of SFIII.
First time I watched the trailer I mistook it for IV images as they were showing a bunch of previous titles and then they would release a trailer with V footage.
IV is the best competitive fighting game on the market, but the miniscule amount of V footage doesn't excite me. I think the giganto break between III and IV really helped. The break between IV and all it's iterations isn't a big enough break to give a me a massive hard on for V. Just kind of a semi...
You do realise it's coming to PC. Besides we all know a "version" will come to bone in time. The fact pc is day one says it will go full mulitplatform eventually.
Personally I only have interest in the pc version due not having to rebuy sticks and Saturn pads that work on encrypted next gen consoles. Also 4k and better AA/AF with rock solid framerate is a given. Plus free online via steam.
Yeah but it's not coming to Xbox so SF has always been shit, am I doing this right?
Since when have any xbots done that here? Just very funny that Sony are amazing for getting Street Fighter as an "exclusive" but Microsoft are cunts for getting Tomb Raider...? But it's the saviours of gaming so it's good. Am I doing that right?
I think TR was a touchier subject due to the series' origins on the PlayStation. Any butthurt is unjustified in both cases. Securing exclusives (timed, console or otherwise) makes good business sense for the platform holders. If people want a game that's not on their system of choice, they buy the system that hosts the game or they go without.
That said I hope Capcom got a buttload of cash for this, because as popular as Street Fighter is, restricting the available formats for a fighting game seems a little crazy to me.
I might get a later version of it if the price is right, but I find it very hard to plonk down my cash for a fighting game these days. They all just seem so bare-bones. And I say that with the understanding that it's like saying a chess set is a ripoff because there are only 6 different types of pieces and the board's the same every time- but the fact remains that I don't get much out of fighters any more.

Good job PS3 fight sticks are compatible with PS4, Good move by Sony to nab SFV.
I think you'll find sony blocked usb devices that don't have encryption handshaking hardware.
PlayStation 4 incompatible with PS3 Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightSticks. Joystiq confirmed today with Mad Catz senior product development manager Richard Neville. "Playstation 4 will require a whole new set of peripherals," Neville said.
