You can pick up apples and throw them at guards in this QTE.
But the berries haven't passed classification in Australia and have been removed with a substitute fruit ( whatever is cheapest I guess)

Heads up. If you're planning on buying the game DO NOT watch the tv spot. It will spoil the first 3 quarters of the game.

Does every 30mb equate to 5 hours of gameplay?t0mby wrote:30mb patch > 20gb patch

Re: The Order 1886 Direct Feed
I think his maths is really bad.
A 20gb patch is far greater than a 30mb patch.
But a 30mb patch is all two hours of gameplay should need to make it right, shouldn't it?

GAF thread is hilarious. What's ever more hilarious is that I'm downlaoding this game as we speak.

Ok, the playgo file has finished. I'm going in!
They're right about those QTE events, just had one at the main menu " press x to continue".

It's Ryse, PS4 Edition.

Another sony stinker to add to the pile. Dodged a bullet on my preorder.
Pony's are melting down, more entertaining than all sony exclusives put together.

I can't wait for them to start comparing The Order to Xbone's launch tech demo - Ryse.lestat wrote:Another sony stinker to add to the pile. Dodged a bullet on my preorder.

I think I know why there's the black bars. The whole game is just a cutscene.

Wow,that thread at gaf has gone nuts... Some people can't handle the bad reviews, it's the journalists fault.

Anyone who expected this game to be good as an A-grade idiot. The game has looked poor right from the outset.jizzlobber wrote:Wow,that thread at gaf has gone nuts... Some people can't handle the bad reviews, it's the journalists fault.
Can you still do EB rentals?

Re: The Order 1886 Direct Feed
Watched a few people on Twitch giving it a bash. Got to say going with that ridiculous screen ratio has got be one of the dumbest decisions I have seen. Once you go into cover mode all you see is a wall, you can not see over your cover all you see is black bars.
I wish game developers would give up on that cinematic experience wank. It's a game not a movie.

Re: The Order 1886 Direct Feed
Up to chapter 2 or 3 now. This is nothing more than a tech demo. Very little gameplay, just walking around examining apples. Just came out of the brothel and there was exposed penis there, that was the only highlight for me. The story? Can't comment on, I have the fan on and can't hear a thing so I put the subtitles on but the text is too small to read. From my little play through I'd give it 4inches out a possible 10inches.
--------
Update: now at chapter 5, had some gameplay segments for a change. The shooting mechanics aren't too bad actually, everything feels very snappy and I'm able to pull of head shots quite easily with aim assist off and on hard. Cover system is weird, you've got two different buttons to press to enter and leave cover. Now if there was just more gameplay and less of walking around and watching cutscenes this could have been something great.

See Flip, this is why you don't embrace a digital future, now you're stuck with it instead of selling it on.

Re: The Order 1886 Direct Feed
I expected playstation fan sites to bump it up. All the big sites have given it scores equivalent to Ryse. Tech demos are cool at launches though.t0mby wrote:Better than Ryse. Sup lestat!

Re: The Order 1886 Direct Feed
why anyone would buy a digital copy of this game puzzles me....no multiplayer,no extra horde mode to play only reason to replay it is to get all the trophies which you could do in one sitting if you checked what you had to do to get them.t0mby wrote:See Flip, this is why you don't embrace a digital future, now you're stuck with it instead of selling it on.
Finished it last night, graphics are very impressive for a console game, don't believe for a minute that the reason they used the black bars was due to a "cinematic experience" game probably ran 20fps without them like the Evil within....otherwise there would be a option in the game to turn them off.
I quite enjoyed the game, hopefully it sells well enough to warrant a sequel and yes it is Sony's Ryse which I felt was harshly dealt with like this game.
Game length was just right for the game imho, took me about 7 or so hours to finish the game considering I only got $30! trading it in to jb the day after it got released shows that they knew they'd be getting a lot of trade ins for it not long after the game came out.
Worth playing on the cheap, 7/10

I'm definitely going to pick it up but not till it's had a decent price drop.
