“Quantum Break , one of the most anticipated games for Xbox One after the premiere at Gamescom gameplay completely disappeared from the globe. Why So? Because Quantum Break probably will be released only in 2016. Back in January, I learned that Quantum Break went out only come in 2016, but despite the good sources we could not communicate at that time. Today, however, is further evidence surfaced that “the game” will not come out in 2015.
As marketing Xbox for months Quantum Break use no more to promote their exclusive line up of 2015 and be questions about the game deliberately ignored. Add to this the fact that it is always difficult Remedy Games to release a game on the agreed date and several knowledgeable people who warned me earlier this year. All together is a litany of serious accidents.”
“Though we can not confirm it officially yet, we have a very strong suspicion that Quantum Break will only come in 2016, probably in early 2016.”
Exclusives are a joke this gen, delay delay delay, patch fest / 5hrs gameplay.
This isn't a big deal to me. I would encourage them to delay it, especially after the broken releases of this gen. Excellent games remain in my memory forever.
These guys didn't win SIGGRAPH 2015 best rendering and graphics awards on consoles for nothing. You knew it would be great when a member of the team was behind some of the visuals in the movie Gravity.
Add another SIGGRAPH exclusive winner to the list.
The best visuals on PS4 are 1920x800p(The Order), clearly remedy are doing some amazing things to beat out stuff like The Order for the award, I wouldn't be surprised to see 900p final resolution. So far the best graphics this gen have been around that resolution.
It was interesting at SIGGRAPH they showed The Order running on PC @ 60fps. Pity Sony never allow PC ports for their exclusives, RAD are pimping that engine for another 3rd party game, the realities of 1.2~1.8 tflop boxes vs 5~8 TFLOP PC hardware.
Have you played The Order by any chance? It looks great but technically I don't think it's the best on PS4. For instance, it has smallish environments and most likely has lots of baking going on. Character models look good but the image quality suffers because they've added in some post process AA over the MSAA which gives it a blurry look (and a grain filter over that too)
From the footage and screens we've got, QB looks better even technically. It looks like they invested a lot of resources into it and overall looks more pleasing.
My pick would go to Batman AK and DC in wet weather for PS4.
Even some of the launch games like KZ & Ryse hold up well today.
