Star Wars Battlefront to 'debut next month'

Downloaded both PC and ps4 versions. Played PC version first and boy was that a mistake (of sorts)! PC version looks stunning. I'm only on 1080p but everything on Ultra at 60 fps is brilliant. I played for about 2 hours then tried the ps4 version. Still looks good but took me a good 30 mins to adjust to the 900p graphics, the jaggie mess and the pop in. Either way, it's a day one purchase on PC for me.

Beta went to shit for me tonight. I was playing last night settings all on ultra 60fps locked and now it won't go over 45fps...

Checked my CPU usage and it's only at 85% while my GPU is sitting at 50%... Anyone got any ideas?

Lovin the shit out of this. Downloaded PS4 version. Have had no issues what so ever. The battle of Hoth is just so damn impressive, everything about it. Managed to take down the AT-AT with the cable around the legs......drug in amazing game.

Can you fly the snowspeeders in the beta? I only played two rounds and unlocked a couple of weapons.

Still a 900p/720p affair on consoles with "high" settings, EA have milked frostbite a bit too much which sadly is bad news for console only gamers.

I think I'll grab the pc version if I do buy this. Then I can use my X55 for the flight side of the game. Flying on a control pad is just woeful. Candy, set up your logitech stick for flight if you can be bothered. I'll bet it'll make a huge difference.

Yep flying or driving any aircraft or walker requires picking up the blue icons scattered around the map. Once you pick it up push both shoulder buttons to use

This has been quite fun. I dunno if it's just the learning curve of playing with others who are seemingly more experienced and kitted out but it's somewhat drab as a n00b. I'm level 5 now so hopefully the jump pack might help a bit.

Yeah I'm liking this it looks good and performs well. Gameplay is smooth as butter on high, hoping a driver update will allow to run ultra.

Gave the beta another go but couldn't find a suitable control method I liked for the ships. Game does seem pretty cool but only because of the nostalgia. Don't think I'll be getting the full version though.
