Open world games aren't really my thing but I'd probably give this a go.

JC2 was like an open world's gamer wet dream. Even the demo they released was freakin huge and had an hour limit or something.
JC3 will be like JC2 but on viagra with a penis pump.

Throw in this year's GOTY PC release of GTAV and you've basically got a whole planet to explore.

shit son, I was no way near 100%. Still spent more time on it than any other game on the 360 by a long shot though. Massive game.

IGN gave the PC version an 8 but were refusing to review the console version as it's a buggy mess:
The Verdict

Just Cause 3 is a playground where you get to be a physics-defying force of destruction, and its loop of liberating dozens of towns across this enormous scenic world would’ve gotten old much quicker if the combat wasn’t so full of options for free-form mayhem. Getting the most out of it requires some creativity and tolerance for performance bugs on your part, so come expecting to make at least some of your own fun.

[Editor’s Note: This review was conducted on the PC version, which we obtained from Square Enix first. Our early impressions of the console versions show that it’s identical in content, but we’ve seen significant performance problems, including extremely long load times and significant frame rate issues that will require further testing to fully evaluate. Our PlayStation 4/Xbox One review will follow later this week.]

As for the PC specs you'll need:
Performance, unfortunately, is an inconsistent issue. On one of the two PCs I played on (a Core i7-980X with a GeForce GTX 970 and 8GB RAM) I saw generally great frame rates interrupted by some major slowdowns and stuttering… but the other PC (Core i7-4790K, GeForce GTX 980, and 16GB RAM) was almost flawless. On both I saw occasional crashes, and some frame rate problems arose when huge explosions went off. I also wouldn’t recommend playing without an SSD, because load times can be exceptionally long when using a hard drive.
Another game where I'm glad I spent a bit extra with 16GB RAM etc
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 4 (PC), FIFA 23 (Series X)

I gave this game a bash at PAX a month ago, it seem to run alright from the demo I played on the bone.

Yep I'm glad I made the jump a while back, quite a few new games have pushed my system ram usage to 12GB, on a 8GB system that would have been paging/stutter city.

I heard the game was fun but enemies are helpless against you becsuse you are a damage sponge. Console version has framerate issues. Will get it probably next year. I wish gta had this kind of destructible stuff in it. Don't tell cletus I said this. He is angry that I compared xenoblade to an overbudgeted overmarketed robbery sim that doesn't let you roleplay as a mall cop who saves the day or roleplay as a good guy like in lego city on wii u. Imagine if rockstar put chinatown wars 2 HD on wii u? It would blow away gta v. They could use cel shaded cartoon characters similar to celda HD on wii u and do more of those touchscreen minigames. Too bad they wasted all thier energy porting gta v to pc instead which was unecessary since it came out 1 year later and re-released on current consoles again anyway. pffft! 'sif I'm going to rebuy the same thing twice instead of use that money on a new wii u nintendo game.
