About remasters for shenmue 1 and 2. Yes sega just do it already.

Would love to see them on the Vita actually. The vita has Jet Set Radio ported already and Oddworld Strangers Wrath HD and Metal Gear Solid HD games. Its the perfect platform. Shenmue on a fucking bus.

Cross buy would let you play on ps3 or ps4 whe you get home to continue the adventure.

I loved Shenmue 2 (not so uch the first but only for poor pacing and cumbersome ideas) and have yearned for the third installment since the moment the final credits rolled in S2 back in 2001. Why wouldn't I laugh? One of the best E3s in fucken years. Games games and more games. Not filled with boring nubers and sales and shitty devices. gamers got the E3 they deserved.

Exactly like I said before. The Kickstarter was basically a litmus test to prove that there was actually interest in the game. Once it hit $2m, Sony was convinced.

It's actually the fastest Kickstarter of all time, games or otherwise. Pretty fucking incredible.

It's a great feeling knowing there are so many like minded people that really wanted this to happen. I know some people aren't happy about the way it was announced but personally I think it was the best way, on the world stage, maximum attention and showing that they are serious putting it in the hands of the gamers. Goal reached in record time and now any more money pledged just adds more content.

I think he's aright about the PS4 pricing in a few years - they'll have wrapped up this gen well before then and you'll have some sort of cheap PS4 slim on the market. Good times for everyone.

Both had decent conferences but I just don't get the Shenmue 3 kickstarter thing, if MS revealed a sequel to a popular game and said its only coming if the fans raise 2 million dollars to fund the game via kickstarter, they would of got laughed/booed off stage.

I'm surprised Sony has got a pass for what they did, any big multinational would get laughed off pulling a stunt like this.

Same, I wouldn't have cared who did this, I mean, come on, it's fucking Shenmue 3. I would definitely be jumping back in closer to the games release as well. (more so since I don't intend on getting a gaming PC in the foreseeable future).

They asked a question to Yu about remasters, he said 1/2 were properties of sega and it's up to them.

So basically it looks like Yu has taken over the rights for future installments, sega is not involved at all.
