Sonic The Hedgehog Live Action Movie

Post by GameHED »

Looks like Sony have decided mario isn't as interesting as Sonic and decided to back a Sonic movie instead:

I would much rather a Streets of Rage movie instead to be honest. :( Make it totally CG like final fantasy movies and that starship troopers cg movie with the blonde girl flashing her titties:
Edit: it's nudity cletus not porno. No sex scene.

It's all because of Pixels. Sega probably felt left out that sonic wasn't included with pacman, donkey kong, the funny thing from that isometric platform game, and the space bugs from galaga, space invaders and centipede. Why? cuz the 90s are not retro enough.

So who do you guys think should play as sonic? Peter Dinklage would be awesome. Imagine him rolling into a ball and knocking over stuff and cutting stuff up in hyper violent and gorey ways wearing a cosplay outfit. They could make it a horror flick. Sort of like the Chucky movies where the toy doll is possessed by demonic spirit and kills stuff. Not a normal film. This might shock kids but the adults would love it. Much like Pixels it would be aimed at older audiences.

Sonic realises he has entered into the human world and is no longer in his virtual videogame environment. He teams up with humans to stop mad scientist who is tapping into other dimensions to gather up all the villains from sonic's world to take over the world with the aid of Skynet like assassin robots which can mimmick the human leaders. Sonic is the only one who can dodge the robots attacks to be able to kill the mad scientist whose cyborg brains has taken over his body and forcing him to kill his entire race. (not to conquer and enslave but to wipe out all life forms. Cutting the wires i the back of his neck will sever the connection but only with sonic can see the wires because it is from another dimension and only he can interfere with that world as he is connected to things in that virtual enviornment - like the matrix but in reverse)

The kids already have the cartoon. Give us our hyper violent sci fi horror take on the character where he is a bad arse like the guy in Evil Dead. Sonic would bee scary (he tears apart robots like they were made of cardboard) but a good guy like the Flash. There are no consequences for his actions as he is anarchistic in behaviour and laws of nature in our world do not apply to him but somehow he exists and can affect the objects from his world in ours. The humans connected to the virtual world however can make those virtual objects real in our world though, so long as they are connected, so that is what lets evil cartoon characters affect this world. Kill the connection and no more gate for them to enter. The gate is getting larger and replacing our world though like the morphing world in the movie Inception. So there is a strict time limit for Sonic to work under. And humans can only fight the human robots not virtual stuff. The videogame world is replacing the real one and strange paranormal phenomena are associated with the happenings in the game world in relation to ours. eg tails dies in Sonic's world and human pilots all over the world mysteriously crash planes killing loads of people. (think of it like bermuda triangle but global)

I think the world is tired of seeing sonic as just a cartoon character and it is time to adapt it to film for a more mature audience like what we got with ninja turtles.

There is plenty of anime out there like this old OVA:
If they make it a gritty horror doomsday disaster movie with some humour and one-liners then it won't suck. Super hero moviess are going darker. It's time Sonic was an antihero who doesn't give a fuck about us but wants to save his world and in the process humans become his sidekicks in achieving that while benefitting from this. (like the gungans saving queen amidala in star wars ep 1 but gaining security against droid army) Without a bad attitude it's not sonic. That's what makes him cooler than the other mascots. Much like the blue aliens in Avatar he can't allow humans to go to his world so he doesn't trust them. That's where it goes all "ET" on us and rogue elements within the government tries to kidnap him for study but he must kill a few humans to show he is independent from the earth and cut ties to make certain evil from our world can't flow into his.
