:up: I got a mouse mat and a case & screen protector with mine. Probably would have grabbed Snipperclips if it was still in stock.

Quite tempted to get a Switch purely for the current modding potential. You can develop straight to one of these hacked switches, pretty sweet.

My only problem is I just don't see much I want for it. I also find the controllers horrible.

Right now there's still more on the WiiU that interests me.

Yeah the default controllers are horrible. Playing DKC:TF and kept dieing because I couldn't press the Y & B buttons without the Right analogue stick getting in the way of my thumb.

Made for tiny people.

All this hacking stuff going on to me is the karma of nintendo and region coding in past gens.
With region coding it denies fans of getting games that were non-butchered versions of things and empowers feminists to remove things in our games.

As SJW take over the game industry and censor games, people are going to turn to the dark side to get the uncensored editions of titles from the place of origin. Hackers are the insurance to break free from the control mechanism of these groups.
The fansubbers of the old day for anime helped to get shows popular, and the same is happening in gaming. When popular games with non-politically correct messages are in them get censored by feminist, the path to get pirated and uncensored content from place of origin becomes more and more attractive. People who like nintendo can still buy the official versions (to show support monetarily) but also get the uncensored version by looking to the hackers for help. There is a real danger we go back to the days of when Final Fight had the nude statues removed just because of religious people, ...or they put a guy with green skin on the street fighter II opening animation on the basis of not offending black people, (a white guy punches a black dude in the face) and the SJWs of today are the same thing in modern day. (they want to ruin anime, sci-fi, and comics and videogames, but fansubbers and hackers and pirates act as backup if they try anything)

The communist of today are sneaky and getting into pop culture to see if they can brainwash kids. If people stop supporting them, they run out of money, their products don't sell, and they kill themselves off. They said it was the "end of gamers" so we will end the gamers. The fake ones. (by refusing to purchase their shit and ignoring all the crap they produce which was made by kicking out the original people involved. It's about the principle of consumer choice)

Fortnite just came out on Switch, already downloaded 2 million times. Never played it, might give it a go and see what the fuss is all about.

It’s FREE! So will it continue to be free when Nintendo online service begins?

It's free on PS4 so why not?

Warframe is also free without needing PS Plus sub.

I haven't played fortnight for a while but the last I heard you have jetpacks now. All that needs to happen now is port of Path of Exhile to Switch and nintendo wins the kiddy crowd.

What I'm hyped for is Dragon Ball Fighter Z on switch: (now you can play this shit on the bus at last)
And YS XVIII (glad I didn't buy the one on vita)
Only 30fps. Not a quality port job. Switch is capable of more than that. :down: But still worth it if you don't own a ps4.

I enjoy Fortnite but playing it with Switch controls would be as fun as a gun in my mouth.

Now that fortnight is coming to the switch the mainstream media are ready to blame it on kids addictive behavior.
https://www.activistpost.com/2018/06/9- ... ugs-a.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In January, the World Health Organization officially classified ‘gaming disorder’ as a mental health condition.
The timing is just right. Nobody picks on warframe on sony or path of exhile on MS. It's always the big target.

Fortnight is the new "Doom". Doom was blamed from everything to school shootings to bad weather due to satanism/demons in the game, and causing kids to want a pc instead of play mario on console which is non-violent. (wasn't true.. doom appeared on snes with low framerates and nobody gave a crap and kids still preferred to play sonic and mario because pc games were for nerds)

When mobile phone gaming eventually takes over the parents will have to admit it is the adult's fault for once because it's not dedicated to games only. (they are the ones supplying kids the money to play these shit games with shit graphics which make money off of virtual items and make the companies so much profits. If they ban the game, they also have to take their phone. This kills the mobile phone game, and their shares in tech drop and they can't buy as many things. Which brings us back to square one of them being the source of the problem they fear so much)

Dusted off the Switch and picked up Owlboy on sale on the eShop for $20.95. I'm less than an hour in, but so far I'm liking the controls and loving the look of the game. The tunes are good but the art is really nice.

Hollow Knight is up next, then I think I might pick up Wonderboy if Bloodstained hasn't come out by then. There are some decent prices on the eShop- I just assumed everything would be RRP and looked straight at importing physical copies, but everything I'm interested in is half the price for the digital version. That's without pissing about with multiple accounts too, just using the Aus store. Colour me surprised.

Ebgames has that mid year sale thing.
You can get forza horizon 2 and 3 for $20 each. Good for those late to the party.

Physical copies of games are still alive even if the digital sales are kicking them in the bum for value. :up: If you own physical, nobody gets to tell you what you can do with the disc and you can play old games long after the digital store takes them off the stores and your console dies. (for a while Dragon's Crown disappeared which freaked me out until they brought it back with a re-release (better music now from what I hear)

Dragon's Crown is the game the feminists are scared of because of the boob jiggle on the sorceror's tits which makes jizz all over the carpet forcing them to have to clean the living room more often when sex robots are banned by other feminists and stay at home single moms end up having to do the housework after the muslims kill off all the white people off for the lizards.

Buy this for your kids before it becomes rare. Show other companies how bad you want sega to make a Golden Axe game made by these guys. I think they will make a sequel based on how good this sells. For the sequel they need to add monsters (werewolf, vampire, giants that kind of thing) as playable races. The giant would be the slowest but uses club made of stone and can stun groups of guys to buy time. Vampire can transform into different forms and suck blood to regain health with magick to boost his sword speed for flashy combos. (uses samurai weapon like the guy in Vampire Hunter D. Physically weak but supernaturally quick after a feed). Werewolf is just like the monster in Altered Beast that can rush down enemies and kill multiple targets in one move (think of the maximum spider super move from marvel vs capcom) The longer you combo the more power subsequent hits do but the more damage you take if you get interrupted mid-combo by another enemy. (this is for experts who want to speed run the game and can handle high speed character without making mistakes)

For those wondering where they got the inspiration from check out Frank Frazetta fantasy paintings (mainly conan stuff)
He was my fave artist. Also very fast at completing work. More game companies need to get artists as good as that for game cover box art. (fire that guy who did the NES megaman ones!)

Except when half the game content was in a day one patch or the game forces you to connect to servers to play at all. Physical copies are fast losing relevance.

Hollow Knight is pretty involved, I've spent around 40hrs and done 103% of the game. Probably the hardest game I've ever played I think, even harder than Cuphead, so if you go into it you gotta go balls deep imo.

I'd heard the boss fights can be savage but the moment to moment gameplay isn't too punishing. Hope it's not too hard TBH, I'm up for a challenge but not in the mood to tear my hair out.

Huh? I actually did it. :up: Got the receipt still.

Physical copies kicking butt and still relevent. Although I do agree that the idea of having massive patches on day 1 is stupid. Companies like nintendo still play it old school for most of their games. The standards have to be raised. At some point pirate editions of games that are hard to obtain will eventually be legalised. People you got to realise that today' generation expects things to be free now. The free to play games compete with pirated paid games. When the entitled kids of today grow up and become politicians they will force companies to have everything easily accessible and then eventually free if you can prove you bought the game with money.

Companies like CDPR are setting the standard.

Switch is getting a port of Warframe:
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018 ... -to-switch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Will sony share the account information so people can continue to play the game on the go with the nintendo handheld? Time will tell....

Switch emulation coming along very nicely.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-nint ... ant-60fps/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I guess with the system hacked wide open, will be easy for emulator guys to reverse engineer lots of libraries/apis.

:run: 15% off eShop cards at Woolworths, finishes Thursday I think. Stacks with staff discounts as well if you've got a hookup. I'm set for a couple of years I reckon. :lol:

I think it also applies to Origin cards if anyone cares.

Hollow Knight on sale on eshop and I think steam. Picked it up from eshop, and by using my gold points they took an extra $2 off, so it came to $9 something.
