Doesn't bother me, I was over Forzas lackluster career during #4 and #5 wasn't exactly an improvement either.

I have no real idea about these things but a cursory search suggests my pc is dx12 and oculus ready and it was built in feb 2014. I could be wrong about that but it seems that if your pc isn't up to running DX12 and VR, it's probably a netbook and would struggle with most stuff anyway.

Further feedback on Gears of war ultimate edition on PC, playing through the game it does seem to suffer from rough spots in framerate, usually moving into new areas and lots of action on the screen might cause dropped frames, seems a bit random. Since I don't have my afterburner overlays it's not easy to see if it's cpu/gpu related.

I'm guessing retrofitting an old code base to do some of the effects they're doing now has inefficiencies that a beefy PC can't even brute force through. A little disappointing, could be why the game includes a 30fps cap and the console build was 30fps.

There is a locked framerate option in settings, by default it's on.

New footage of the upcoming free-to-pay Forza for Windows 10, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex has leaked online. The footage includes several dozen screenshots and a three and a half minute video. This is the first PC release from Turn 10 and it looks to be very refined and optimized.

The video footage was released to a Vimeo channel from a user known as NullAffiliation, the same user also leaked the screenshots to Imgur. NullAffiliation also has a Twitter account with the same name where he has sent out two tweets. The first tweet was a link to the Imgur album saying “Anyone heard of that Forza 6 Apex game? I've heard it's pretty good”. The next tweet linked to the video where NullAffiliation said “Software recording is hard. Exporting to mov when you don't have Quicktime installed is harder”.

The video options include render quality, resolution, VSync, shadow quality, particle resolution, car texture, mirror quality, depth of field, windshield reflection quality, track texture quality, MSAA quality, and more. Turn 10 seems to have included a lot of options for PC users to tinker with to try to get the most out of the game.

Yeaaaahhhhh, pretty sure MS just shot themselves in the foot with that. Why would I buy a Nextbox if my favourite franchise is on Windows as well?

You'll buy a nextbox if you want a cheap PC that plays games simply on a TV. If your games are crossbuy, then a console becomes a companion/extension device, it's their universal app vision.

MS have Bash shells on windows 10 now, the idea of exclusives is dead, MS want to spread their wares everywhere and honestly that's a huge win for consumers and only serves to improve MS's image to consumers.

It's also great news for their developers which now have a much larger user base to sell their games too, The number of PCs out there eclipse all consoles combined, ask yourself why even sony 3rd party exclusives still insist on releasing a PC version.

Yeah I'm not understanding the fuss. If you can play the games on Windows, then you don't have to buy an xbox - win! If you want a console-style experience, buy an xbox! It's win-win.

Cool I'll be trying it just to see how it performs. No wheel support is a bummer. This is just a test bed for the next version I would hope that has all the wheel support.

I read that there will be wheel support, probably not in the alpha though.
