PS4Pro should handle this game at 60fps/1080p surely. It runs very well on most setups and the game isn't really a looker.

Sloppy Third party multiplatform shit always ends up running shit compared to the first party exclusive shit which is custom designed to run nicely on the console it is built for.

...unless it's a remaster of an old game from last gen. It seems to be the pattern now. Anything that involves an Online mode I think 60fps is the target (because it's competitive) but for single player I think people are more leniant. Call of Duty has always been 60fps because it gives you small tiny spaces and then locks the room behind you to limit how much of something you can see at any one time whilst being linear game.

Even though we expect 60fps the coders fall back to 30 for console. PS4 may be more powerful than xbox one (and it is strange that the better machine has stutter) but maybe they were not as familiar to the hardware for Sony? Reminds me of how Castlevania SOTN on Saturn was expected to be superior to Playstation one version since it is the better 2D machine, but the port was sloppy and the PS1 still ended up being better despite having less content and being the weaker machine for 2D sprite stuff.

DLC for this sounds like an excellent addition to the game to make it good enough to be a core standalone title:
Single player gaming dead you say? Fuck off EA shills! :P

Bioshock/Half life/dues ex/dishonored fans should not be too worried about what they are doing. Just quietly enjoy these gems. Getting a bit sick of rogue likes now though.. way too many out there.

Everspace recently came out to PS4 (will try this game out soon - sony is once again dominating) :
