Medium or hard. I remember you chose Hard on your first play through of the original. I will give hard a go and if too hard, I will change it to normal.

2 disc game. Installing straight onto my external SSD. I can’t believe I waited that long to buy one.

Eh, you get it at a midnight launch? I'm getting mine from JB in the morning after I drop my youngest at Kindy. Think I'm going to throw a sicky anyways as I've had a shit nights sleep. Nearest game shop is 35km away so any midnight launch would've been out of the question.

2 discs? I'll probably be doing some more data management as my 2tb is pretty much full.

Reviews look great. One of those rare occasions I miss consoles. Sony really need to get Playstation Now going in Aus.

This great. Had to turn it off though because the oldest boy (8yo) is home and wamted to watch something. Can't have him watching this.

Anyway, game feels great, melee is satisfying unlike Uncharted where it didn't even feel like you were actually interacting. Looks great and I'm so glad I've got surround going after 15 years of just stereo or headphones.

Megaton! The Last of Us Part 2 announced.

Post by flipswitch »

I’m 3hrs in too. Up to Seattle, opened a few gates, got horse and friend in but turned off to eat :).

( I don’t believe this is spoilers )

Will continue on shortly!

I stuck with moderate difficulty level because I’m weak.

Still adjusting to the controls having playing Days Gone recently, but they’re starting to stick.

I never played the original but got the remastered version 3 days ago for $13.44 including taxes. I didn't know much about this game except that it was held in high regard.

.....And now I know why, wow!. One of the best presented stories I've ever played. I'm over the moon, I get to play this excellent game and then play part 2 without waiting 7 years.

Sometimes it's good to be late.

Made it into Seattle. The graphics in this are amazing for the 7yo tech although my fans are going into overdrive. That opening scene in Seattle is fantastic. I kept stopping and rotating the camera to examine the forest.

And yeah, I can see how there are complaints about the violence, definitely not one for the kids.

Speaking of complaints, those Metacritic user reviews, sitting @ 3.3 right now.

It's like gaming's Last Jedi moment.

They need to just turn off scores for user reviews on Metacritic. Whenever an awesome game comes out with high scores the trolls come out from under their bridge. There's no denying the quality of work gone into this game, it's like some serious black magic shit ND has conjured up and proof that as time goes on some Devs really learn how to get the most out of aging tech. It's been the same every single generation since the Atari 2600.

You guys don't know how bad the story gets. This is why the user scores are so bad. I compared it to last Jedi because it's the same sort of fan backlash.

What generation PS4 Pro have you got? The latest model and I can confirm are much more quieter, none of that jet airplane type noise. The model is the 7200h series that I bought late last year. I can honestly say it’s been very pleasant. However the temperature inside is cold.

Yes, entering Seattle on horse back was gorgeous. The forest was very impressive and plants are interactive when you trot on them. Just imagine an open world game set in this.

That's what I was imaging, something like RDR3 with similar forests.

I have the 1st gen pro, bought on launch weekend from EB Runaway Bay on the GC.

Angry Joe did not like, he legit left the room.(spoiler alert)

Popular Korean streamer just says nope, cuts the discs up.

17k negative reviews already T0mby, that's not just some sort of coordinated review bombing. You play these games for the Story and the Story is fundamentally broken and breaking people. Just crazy stuff.

It's getting mixed reviews everywhere. I don't think anyone is denying its a technically well made game but the story is...not good? I'm on the fence now. Was picking it up tomorrow but having second thoughts.
Spoiler!
And I heard there is a part in the game where you are forced to kill a dog. Not cool with that.

Just try and ignore the 95 MC score. All payed off by ND . Angry Joe’s cheque must have bounced.

7 hours in. Wow. PC version is going to be nuts.

 What?
This game never pretended to be Mario Bros.

Hmmmm. When I finished up last night at 9 hours, there was a very troubling story turn. I wonder if this is where the rot starts to set in?

Keep in mind I'm playing on the hardest difficulty with all help turned off, companion help set to minimal etc so I'm still on Day 1, in some little community with housing, school, dry cleaners...... Stopped last night in a service station by a workbench. Obviously nothing really new in the story front for me.

I'm enjoying it so far and glad I'm finally up to human encounters. That first cut scene where you get caught, geez that gave me a fright. Neigh!
