I liked GG but it started to get too preachy and political lately.

that goose guy was seriously unenjoyable to watch. Other than that, I enjoyed it but didn't watch very often.
Fuck knows what episode it was but you can see me playing Street fighter with jlynx in the Fighting game tournament feature they once did in Melbourne.

Preachy and political in what way? (I never watched but curious as I heard similar sentiments elsewhere)...

it's on the ABC, there's only one way that's going political wise.

He shit me and she shit my wife so it never lasted long on our TV if I tried to watch it, he seemed to get unbearably annoying the longer the show went. A mature game show that didn't cater to 7 year olds emailing in emoticons for him to say would be nice on TV but then these two could never pull that off.

It just started to have that feel of being a bit agenda driven in the choice of stories or segments, having game reviews run through the de rigueur social checklist, and many of the presenters feeling the need to sprinkle little political points or jabs throughout their work. I don’t even necessarily disagree with any of that, it’s just that I don’t personally want it in a show about video games and particularly not from people who I wouldn’t consider even remotely authoritative in those areas. I would rather just have a giggle at what bizarre character customisations Bajo had come up with, share their general enthusiasm for the medium and get some benefit from their expertise on games. Same reason I don’t want cooking shows to lecture me on environmentalism – I might agree (or not, doesn’t really matter) but that’s not what I’m watching for.

It's Youtube that killed it.

The dino media is doomed.

plus livestreams and let's play videos can tell you more about a game than a short 5-10 min review of a game.

Angry Centaur Gaming is the best youtube channel for reviews for me now that angry joe sold out to the man and stopped game reviews and focused on crap movie reviews because it earns him more money.

It's just a sign of the times. Nobody watches tv anymore accept fat feminist women which is why ad revenue is made from social media now.

Think about it: when you watch reviews of things on youtube you have virtually no limit to how long the review can be, and the channel creator doesn't have to use ads if they do not want to making it far less annoying than commercial tv.
Little kids can watch minecraft vids and learn how to build shit that they couldn't do on tv. It's also interactive and you can request certain subjects/topics be made. "I want you to review x title next" and the creator of the vids can cover that based on demand from all the likes dislikes from the watchers/audience.

TV is doomed. Fat feminist have learned this which is why they are desperate to control our behavior online through censorship of games, movies, social media, and comics/manga/anime. I notice in a lot of hollywood movies they always seem to make fun of rednecks a lot and make men emasculated which tells you they are threatened by alpha males. This is why we should boycott the SJW and feminist-friendly media to get our ball back and teach kids to be politically athiestic.

You guys are just old and didn't notice this shit.

Which is also why MS should never have sold us on the TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV TV shit when they launched the Xbox One. They were out of touch with young kids of today who don't watch tv. They download the porn and the shows on peer to peer services or pay for it legitimatly through digital download if they are too unintelligent to steal it.
TV isn't interactive, your GF hogs it, (which is why wii u was a brilliant idea that was ahead of its time but failed due to lack of marketing) and it's full of ads which prolongs your time sitting in front of the couch which could be spent doing productive things instead of making a movie go for longer than needed)

As long as YOU get control of media these dinos can be held in check and they do not like this so they have resorted to trying to censor youtube channels if they are not politically correct. Which is hwy Trump won because a large silent majority couldn't stand it and the SJWs basically couldn't deal with it. It's only a matter of time we clean out the school of brainwashing commie secret agents to bring back masculinity again.
To fight the lizards, you got to form alternative to youtube and facebook and google because what often happens is the less-cool and trendy people follow what the cool people do, then monetise the platforms and then over time uncool people take over control because they don't understand that the poeple that contribute to the service do not want to be controlled and have their views censored. It's why the author of the Watchmen comic didn't want his name attached to the hollywood movie because he realised if they change one thing about the comic it is no longer his story. It's someone elses work.

Not many people are willingly to fight for TOTAL control over what can be said and willing to give up $ to have the message unbutchered or altered by these change agents who want to shit all over people's rights. They will sacrifice truth for money. Let the business man tell him what can be said or how to say it, and then become enslaved to the matrix.
That is why I have respect for channels that choose not to monetise videos and just be themselves instead of rely on some elses money to make stuff. (donations are different because fans want to see YOUR opinions, not the ones of the advertisers) You can't have total freedom if there is always some dickhead breathing down your neck to make sure what you say is politically correct and suitable for your mum and dad or the old lady who finds you offensive and thinks your rude behavior is unacceptable for public view!! You just can't.. When you compromise, you give in to the devil.
Good news is people are waking up to this shit and realising that "They Live" is actually not a movie but a documentary of what happens in the future.

There's not a lot to like about Good Game.

Bajo and Hex screaming into headsets during online gaming doesn't make good television.

The Bayonetta2 review
Whoosh - The game went straight over their heads.
Hex's objectification hypocrisy is also revealed when revisiting the Witcher 2 review on 31 May 2011, which can be downloaded here
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/video/?year=2011" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Even though I strongly dislike Bajo and Hex as TV presenters, I don't blame them entirely for the shows demise. How much creative control did they really have? Is it the production team? Seems like the show has been downhill with ABC agendas for quite some time. Watching that episode above from 2011 is actually way more interesting than the recent garbage.

Episode 17 on 07/06/2016 which can be viewed here: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/video/?year=2016" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They have a preachy 8 and a half minute feature about Diversity in VideoGames.
You can literally hear TV's being turned off all around Australia.
It's not that folks have an issue with LGBT*? It's that they tuned in to watch a show about video games.

Hilariously enough, the very next story is the Overwatch review that nonchalantly features a gay character (and Bajo and Hex screaming into headsets).

They need to make a comedy show combined with videogames.

Imagine something like seinfield, and the main character is a Gamestop employee forced to sell used games.
Every episode he sells a game and the employee has to recommend a game to the customer and that becomes the game review.

There is a fanboy for each platform that works at the store and they fight amongst themselves over the hot cosplay girl and camwhore twitch stream girl who become the token female gamer characters.
It's all done in animation. No real people. It comes on late at night and at least 1 or two indie games is covered.

There are weird games from japan reviewed that never come to the west and the show comes out once a month but goes for 4 hours like hey hey its saturday. There may be an esports section in the show to cover competitive gaming. The commentators are able to describe the advanced play techniques the pros use to interest poeple in the title if they've never heard about it.

I don't think people watch game shows for information to be honest. If it's not entertaining as well, nobody cares.
Most people are old farts now and have enough knowledge about latest games that they would rather a show that makes fun of the game culture itself and current events in gaming. You don't see shows that review tv shows do you?

You see what I am saying? The lizards can send me a check in the mail for my idea if they want. Nobody watches tv anymore because its boring lifestyle shows and other shit. Dino media must adapt to the changes. Why stay up at a certain time to watch a show when you just download on demand/

So they jumped ship to a commercial network for more money.

They won't be as understanding as the ABC when ratings aren't up to snuff.

They're on 7Mate, probably low bar for ratings anyway

And the product placement will reduce the show costs

I mostly enjoyed the show over time, but they clearly jumped the shark with the 10th anniversary special. That was hard to watch.
