Hello everybody! My name is Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian Studios.

In 2017 we released a PC game called Divinity: Original Sin 2, a sandbox RPG with the singular goal of bringing interactivity and exploration to new (sometimes ridiculous) heights.

Since that release, we’ve been inundated by letters and comments asking us to bring Divinity: Original Sin 2 to PlayStation 4. We heard those requests loud and clear, and we’re very excited that it’s finally happening.

If you haven’t heard of Divinity: Original Sin 2, it’s a massive RPG in which you control a party of one to four, chosen from six origin characters with their own personal agendas and histories, or a custom avatar you can build from the ground up. You can play alone or with friends, in split screen couch co-op or online.

The game world consists of a fantastic realm built to react to players’ creativity. Combat rewards experimentation, and elemental spells can be layered for max impact. You can cast rain on burning allies, teleport them to safety, and electrify the battlefield to stop enemies in their tracks. If an opponent is too close, you can lash them with temporary tentacles, summon a demon to fight for you, and fly away on your own pair of wings.

While Original Sin 2 was highly reviewed we knew we still had room for improvement, and bringing the game to PS4 was the perfect opportunity to introduce a massive number of much-wanted tweaks and additions.

We’ll be talking more about the specifics of those changes in coming posts but suffice it to say we’ve been hard at work bringing the entire experience to a new level.

So stay tuned for more news on what’s coming to the PlayStation 4 version of Divinity: Original Sin 2, and come chat to us on the socials — we’re always here to say hello!

Thanks for reading!
hooray. more PC rpg games need to come onto console. Happy to play the bug-free version...

This was many people's GOTY last year. Only a matter of time it came to the consoles. All the good ones eventually do.
Candy Arse devastated by this news and now has to attend a meeting on how he can try to keep his platform relevent to gamers. Makes playing on pc pointless when society has moved on from that to play on smaller devices so their kids don't delete their games accidentally by formatting their drives from pushing the wrong buttons.

Also drop-in/drop-out co-op... Brings back memories of playing secret of mana on the SNES with a multitap.

It's out for the consoles:

where to buy (R rated game so your kids can't play it or the cops will get angry) :

hovering around the lower 90s. No negative reviews!

PC doomed. All their best shit is being ported to console which is causing pc gamers to get pissed because they still haven't got Red Dead Redemption yet. PC gamers used to be able to gloat about their RPGs being exclusives and you now see them port begging for console games to go on pc platform all the time in youtube comments.

Instead of buying the latest EA title we should all buy this stuff to support the traditional WRPG genre. Too many military shooters as there is. Anyone else care? If you don't, you have yourself to blame when all you have left to play are the SJW rpgs from EA which is full of soyboys telling us what we can like or not like. All the punishment EA is getting from low preorder sale of battlefield 5 is because they killed the Dreamcast many years ago. Karma is a bitch. Dice will probably be sold off soon. Maybe they end up working for nintendo on splatoon 3 single player game or make Mario FPS where you have your arms and legs blown off from grenades and are given prosthetic limbs to continue fighting. They could have done so much with titles like Kingdom of Amalur and they ignored that and didn't make sequels. Now CD PRojekt Red has moved in on the open world RPG genre and dominating. EA are so dumb. They released titanfall 2 at a shit time, they abandoned dreamcast, they ignore what gamers want by putting in women in war games, fucked up mass effect andromeda by using an engine that wasn't good for rpg, and they generally don't understand what their own customers want because they censor forums so nobody can give valid criticisms. Developers: get a clue and stop working under them you idiots.
