Sega has announced Shenmue I & II for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will launch worldwide in 2018. In Japan, it will only be released for PlayStation 4.

People are going to be upset when they find out how poorly this has aged

Of all the games that have aged badly, this will be up there with the worst. That said, I'm riding this motherfucker on a wave of nostalgia - can't wait!

At some point during Shenmue II it does reach a level of awesomeness that I think will be ageless... it's just a hell of a lot of time and forklift driving to get there.

I put $100 into the kickstarter so I will be getting a PS4 copy.. I get the emails and updates but fuck me they are boring and don't say anything.

I wished I was able to back the Kickstarter enough for a physical copy but the announcement came just when I had moved to the GC and was in between jobs. I was able to back it and nab me a digital copy though so that'll suffice.

The Yakuza games would benefit tremendously from a PC release.

They’re quite ruff in a way on PS4, even the Pro as mentioned by Lestat, which only offers it in 1080p.
