Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
Forza 4 and Red Dead 2 for sure. Actually finally motivated me to get the One X and give my first gen One to a mate. If I could play Red Dead 2 on the PC in 4k within the next year I probably would have held off, but there is no way I am waiting for the PC release.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
RDR2 is a no-brainer. Probably Just Cause 4 as well.
I am one of those guys that once I get into one game obsessively I ignore whatever else is out at the time and just buy it on sale. Games have gotten bigger, the industry is a lot more big and competitive, so the time commitment also increases per title.
Asscreed odyssey looks ok. You guys still play that shit? Was the new tomb raider any good? FH4 may play it later. Loads of other shit to get through still.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
Really just Horizon 4 and Red Dead for me. Nothing else screams day one to me.
Next year we have a few games pushed into early 2019 to avoid the Red Dead Juggernaut. So Q1 will be unusually stacked(Metro/DMC5/Sekiro/Crackdown3/Res Evil).

I might skip Horizon. I'm buying Red Dead.

Horizon and Red Dead are the big 2. Then there is Battlefield and Assassin's Creed, the last AC was amazing, looking forward how the next one pans out.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
There is a chance it could be shit. GTA5 got all the expansion cut thanks to GTA Online taking over.
Don't think I can trust rockstar anymore. They could have made a cool Knight Rider game all this time but nobody listens to my suggestions. If RDR is tiny 5 hour single player campaign like all the COD games I'm going to return to ebgames and buy another nintendo game. Screw western developers and the pandering to feminists and little kids because the greedy suits tell them to make it. Have a spine.

Red Dead 2, then Nier Automata when it's inevitably dirt cheap in the end of year sales.

Red Dead only for me and then its back to my backlog. Still got 3 Yakuza games to start after I finish Zero, not to mention the other games in my collection.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
For Xbone, probably just Red Dead for me, not sure I'll have time for Forza as well with a baby that doesn't sleep. Will also get Katamari for Switch.
Would love to at least try Wreckfest (feels like that has been in development for years and loved Flatout) and Just Cause 4 but I just don't have the time.

Hitman 2 could be something I drop early money on this November. Hitman 2016 is superb. Not a lot of story between the amazing sandbox levels but what's there is top notch and I'm keen to see where it goes. Hitman 2 also comes with remastered season 1 levels which are free for season 1 owners.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
Bought Dragon Quest XI the other day on PC. Running it with plenty ini. (UE4)tweaks increasing the graphics fidelity and reshade over that. Wow. It’s gorgeous locked at 60fps. Artistically it looks CGI, I’ve taken so many screens. First time player and very impressed with it.
It will be my last game until RDR2.
Enjoying the FH4 demo. I might have to get that soon too.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
Series fatigue is setting in Hercy, we've had a crapload of forza games this gen.
This is why I hope playground use some of the amazing engine tech in that new Fable game they're working on and take a break from pumping out Forza games.
I saw this rumor.

They're probably the most skilled studio MS have right now, makes sense to keep expanding and let them work on new ideas/IP.So I just heard rumors on another site playground games is looking to add a third team to make a new ip, so they would have a horizon team, a fable team and a new ip team, is that true?

I forgot this wasn't episodic anymore. Might wait until after Xmas when it's on sale though.Peppermint Lounge wrote:Hitman 2 could be something I drop early money on this November. Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
Just a reminder that Forza Horizon 4 is available day one to all gamepass subs, there was some confusion last night, just want to clear that up. I know there are a few with gamepass that bought up when they had the half price deal.

Re: How stacked is the end of this year?
I saw a great deal for Assassin's Creed Odyssey over the weekend($64.60 gamesmen ebay xbox), I had so much fun with Origins I'm looking forward to the Spartan theme and an extra year of polish/refinement over origins.
That might be it for me, Horizon 4 drops tomorrow and Red Dead at the end of the month. Anything else to get a look in will have to be gamepass.
Tried the soul calibur 6 network test, felt meh to me, looked nice on the X though.
Saw this pic, thought it was relevant.
