Fist of the Northstar Lost Paradise - not a yakuza mod

Post by GameHED »

Looking bloody good for a licensed game:
If you are a fan of the Yakuza series and the recent mad max game this sounds like a great beat em up to check out.

Should Sega bring back old beat em ups like Spikeout after this? Sega is on a roll. The last thing they need to do is remake Phantasy Star Online for the 4K age of gaming.

Make the environments as pretty as monster hunter world at least and release it as crossplay title now that sony is loosening its restrictions a bit.

-sonic finally getting back to being good
-release of more yakuza titles to western region
-wonder dragon's trap being awesome polished port
-shenmue 1+2 rerelease with shenmue 3 coming
-streets of rage 4
-Valkyria Chronicles 4

They've stopped being apathetic and soon they'll make enough money to afford to fund the future bayonetta sequels. Nintendo doomed once dreamcast 2 is finally announced.

Remember the arcade 3D beat em up? Why don't they adapt the Spikeout franchise for the home console like the 2d beat em up genre (ie Streets of Rage) in the 90s and make full blown RPG action beat 'em up games? (Yakuza is very limited in scope and only takes place in japanese location plus stuck with trying to make realistic environments and shenmue is an adventure game not full blown action)
Other games using the license that didn't suck - the ps2 2D one on one fighting game by arcsys works:
