Agreed. That quality continues in subsequent levels. Wait til you see Mumbai. Hope this game achieves the numbers indie IOI need to prosper and continue with the series.

The difference being the AI in Hitman actually give a shit when they see you choke someone out.

Season 1 is FREE for PS+ this month. And you can get Season 2 for around $50 sometimes. A boatload of content for that price.

I usually love stealth games, but I really struggled to deal with the trial by error style in Hitman 1.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's trial by error but it's very deliberate in how it wants to be played.

The most open fun I've had with the game is when you're not going for Silent Assassin and play to tick off challenges or to simply discover the level and various mechanics. The game plays well as a third person shooter. In Hitman 1 (pre briefcase) I sniped from the castle tower in Sapienza then walked along the beach with my sniper rifle because I wanted to snipe from the church tower. It was fun to see the public recoil, then I'd have to deal with the odd bodyguard before lockpicking my way into the sewers. I ended up murdering my way into the lab to destroy the virus then had a James Bond style shootout with automatic weapons on the way to the plane/exit.

Finally about to finish Whittleton Creek. I like the setting but it's very easy and boring.

Miami, Mumbai and Colorado are great. S'gail is good but feel there's too much costume switching to be great. Overall I think the maps are better in Season 2, especially since there's no Colorado.

Whittleton Creek. I enjoyed 47 presenting the house inspection disguised as the real estate agent. 47's dialogue is much better in season 2. Lots of quips delivered well. Pretty awesome it's been the same actor doing 47 since the first game in 2000. While on H2 acting I could listen to the dude who plays Lucas Grey/Subject 6 recite the alphabet. Very good.

For some reason Whittleton Creek maxes at mastery level 15 only.

Agree with you on Season 2 maps, though I need to explore S'gail a bit more.

I haven't even touched the S2 maps yet. After importing the S1 maps in I was happy to do them all over again.

On one hand because I love the game, on the other hand to check everything out this time in HDR. Can't help myself.

I’m enjoying Far Cry 5 at the moment but will be on this weekend to hit up the Snow Festival challenges which are ending soon. Hokkaido one of my favourite season 1 maps.

Downloaded the base game and free Hawkes Bay map last night, gave that a go. Are the two training missions on the boat and hanger exactly the same as Season 1? The trophies are exactly the same.

Very much looking forward to this. Have been going back and finishing off the other levels to get all the gadgets and starting points. The amount of content you get is amazing.
