RRRrrrfff, I just realised I actually missed 2 of these games. Not because I wasn't around, but because I was around and forgot to actually click the download button. :|
Alien: Isolation and Tropico 5, which I just bought out of multiplayer interest.

Very first world I know; it's more that I'm irritated to be a victim of my own absent mindedness!

Collecting the free Epic games is a game in itself. One with annoying timed release content.

I missed Solitairica and I'm tempted to buy it for its current $7 asking price. It actually looks alright.

Oh hey lestat you're back!

Not going to complain about a free game, but slightly annoyed that they're giving the Celebration Edition (basically the GOTY Edition) away for free, but not (I'm assuming) releasing that content to peeps that already own the game.

Just means I'll uninstall my existing copy and install the Epic version I guess, but I hope my progress transfers across.

Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is free for the next few days. First free game I've gotten on the Epic store that I actually give a shit about, and I already bought it on Switch months ago and haven't made time to play it yet. :suicide:

For the King has been advertised as the free game this week, which has been offered before, but they've surprised us with Metro: Last Light Redux too.

2033 Redux has been offered in the past, so it's pretty cool to get the sequel too.

I'm glad EGS finally has achievements going. It could do with a user profile page or similar though.

I had to reset Windows last week and reinstall my software. The official help page for the Epic store tells you to manually click to install each game individually, cancel the download, move the folder in Windows Explorer, and delete a specific folder from each game folder. And you have to wait for every game to very slowly verify the game files.

Meanwhile over on Steam I reinstalled the client, pointed it to the right folder, and every game was instantly ready to launch.

Have you guys had the EGS just stop recognising your controller?

For some reason now I can't use my XBONE pad on EGS games. Works fine with everything else.

>_<

Anyway my 3rd party Series X controller, using official Xbone controller drivers but with altered hardware IDs... works. Not that this info helps much.

FML, I somehow managed to not add this to my library.

Absolute Drift looks pretty fun, might actually download that one rather than simply add it and forget it exists. Sunless Sea is up next week and looks interesting too.

Rage 2 is also free this week and great if you think you'd be into an id FPS combined with Just Cause. I don't regret buying it at launch.

Is it possible to play it and avoid all the casino sim bs?

Like in FIFA I just play Career and local MP, so I've never seen a lootbox.

Career no, and the servers will probably be shut down soon.

Season, Head to head and multiplayer should be fine.

Thinking of replaying Alan Wake? You might want to hold off as a remaster appears to be on the way. Roll on Alan Wake 2.

FF7 Remake was always coming to PC. Good on ol' deep pockets if they secure it.

I wish they'd save some money hats and put them into actually developing the store. It's been how many years now? I still can't even fuggin tell if a game is single player or multi etc. unless it happens to be in the publishers own description, let alone them developing stuff like mod support for all games.

Obduction and Offworld Trading Company are up at the moment.

OTC doesn't look like something I would get into, but I've had Obduction on my Steam wishlist for ages and just wasn't willing to drop $40 on it, so that was a pleasant surprise. Quite a way into it already and am enjoying it, but holy hell the movement speed feels glacial.
