Bloodlines 2 (2020 - nope) (2021 - lol) (who fucking knows)

Paradox have owned the rights since 2015 when they bought White Wolf, the developers of the original pen and paper RPG.

Still a rumour at this stage, but it's looking likely! :D Either way, we'll find out for sure over the next couple of days at GDC.

GOG.com also have a "Bloody Good Games" sale of vampire-themed games on at the moment, with this note: "Mystery awaits! Discover the mysterious Bloody Good Game that will soon descend upon GOG.com."

The original remains one of my all-time favourite games and everyone should play it (latest unofficial patch is 10.3 RC 2, released just this month). Here's the original thread (from 2007! With dead links to an even earlier thread at PlayNOW!) with lots of info and retrospectives: Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Paradox studios or published by Paradox? Either way this is still good news.

I'm guessing it'll be developed by Harebrained Studios (Shadowrun Returns, BattleTech) which is owned by Paradox.

But that's just a guess based on their history.

I never finished my Bloodlines play-through back in the day. :| I was recently thinking of installing it to give the latest patch a run before deciding a Mass Effect trilogy play-through so I could play/finish ME3 should come first.

I want to play as a Lasombra.

I've been tempted a few times but I'll be holding off now to see what happens with a Bloodlines 2.

It better not be a mobile game or a multiplayer game as a service

Hopefully not. However when Paradox bought the license from Eve Online developer CCP they also bought all the assets of CCP's incomplete World of Darkness MMO.

"The one thing we can say, we will have a good amount of clans in the main game that are really interesting, but we'll support it with more clans after launch," said Christian Schlütter, lead producer at Paradox. "And one thing that you need to write down is that every clan that we release later on will be free. We will never charge you for any clan." I wrote that down.
Full mod support too!

Oh so you can actually buy it now. I see GOG selling it too. Single player, original game writer on board, mod support and choice of platform.

2.5gb to download, 500mb unofficial patch, start game. 25 or so hours later and you're done. I plan to go again after finishing my Mass Effect trilogy run.

Once the latest Unofficial Patch is finished (it's Release Candidate 2, so should be close) I'm also going to play through it one more time before Bloodlines 2

This is looking great, it's been a long time since I played the original, I have fond memories of it.
