I cannot for the life of me remember the last time I attempted to play a baseball game but I remember it wasn't fun. Thought I'd take a look at MLB 2021 since it was free and I'm absolutely loving it. It's almost like it caters for the fans and non fans by giving the non fans an actual gameplay experience without all the field managing, swapping between players etc. I started the AA league in RTTS mode on easiest difficulty selected with dynamic diffulty enabled for when I got better. Have moved up about 3-4 difficulties now across batting and pitching and last night was promoted to a AAA team. The presentation is excellent and there's heaps of modes to choose from like Challenge of the Week where you can win actual physical prizes such as signed shirts and other memorabilia. My only gripe is the absence of any sort of 1v1 mode online, only local. The smallest versus moved you can play online is 2v2 where you have 2 players per team and you don't have to be in the same household. Aside from that this is hands down the most fun and time that I've dedicated I've to a sports game since NFL Football on the OG Xbox.
