Can't wait, day one. If Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima and Persona 5 Royal got a release I wouldn't need a PS5 for a while to come. From memory all the Uncharted games to date are making the move over too?

I am quite enjoying Sony bringing their big exclusives to PC. I hope Horizon Forbidden West comes over quickly...

There have been rumors of a bloodborne port for a while now, probably the game that needs a PC port the most. But yeah looks like Sony are pretty much fully onboard bringing all their games to PC now. The purchases of Nixxes recently which specialize in porting games to PC already solidified that commitment.

The only question now is if they move to a same day PC release schedule like MS do.

The change in direction imo I feel is due to the fact the console market really hasn't grown in decades and with silicon shortages, console makers are having a tough time securing faster process node allocation. The insane demand in PC/crypto/mobile is sucking the air out of the room and pushing the prices for silicon through the roof.

Cannot wait to see how this looks/runs on PC.

Except for the part where only 5 weeks ago I completed a 100% run of the game on PS4, my 2nd time through.

So would you guys prefer Sony sell PC games through existing channels/stores or via their own Playstation launcher integrated with Sony's network ID, their trophies system etc.?

Pros and cons with both. I like the openness of games being sold on multiple existing stores. I like the idea of logging into a PC Playstation store.

As someone who enjoys PC Games on their TV via Steam Big Picture mode, I can write confidently say that separate launchers for each developer can eat a big fat dick.

I'm so torn on this. Like normally I'm anti-monopoly, but having about 10 stores on my PC is annoying af. Especially when they vary so much in terms of functionality etc.

So I limit my rage to publisher-exclusive stores (Origin, Battle.net, Ubisoft Connect etc). Pisses me off having to install a store and related bullshittery just for one game. Especially if you're able to buy a game on another store, but still have to install the publisher's store too. You always end up paying more in these situations too.

Steam, GOG Galaxy, Epic Store are all OK.

I know Steam is problematic and wields far too much influence in the market but at the moment there are too many launchers, each of varying quality. I try to limit my buying to Steam, Ubisoft and Epic. Epic and Ubisoft suck balls but less so than Origin/EA Play - possibly the worst launcher next Xbox Game Pass PC. Part of me wishes it was like it was in the early days when you bought a game, everything you needed was in the box - no launcher BS, no massive day one patches and no need for online if single player only. And you physically owned the game you purchased.

Am I going to be able to jump into Uncharted 4 without having played the first three? I don't understand why they'd only jump in with the last entry.

Yeah. I never played the first three. The fourth stands alone quite well.

Me. Preloaded last night. Unlocks 5:00pm today.

Edit - Scratch that, says it unlocks in 10 hours now, 3:00am tomorrow. Shame, because it's ready to go.

Had a quick look this morning and the reports are true. It's a beautiful port that runs very well. I'm running Digital Foundry recommended settings at native 1440p (FSR off) and it's a high FPS experience with some dips (never below 60) when entering new areas. I had a whinge about controllers recently while playing Arkham City but after reading some reports I think controller is the way to go here esp as the combos come to light. There are welcome config menu options for right stick camera sensitivity. Rumble effects are nice too.

I started with the 'give me a challenge' difficulty and damn the first fights don't ease you in. It's immediately challenging. Can't wait to play tonight.

It's a beautiful port. Not even annoyed have to play through the first 10 hours again. I really hope Bloodborne gets the treatment on PC.

Game is incredible. I came crying back to kbam. I can't aim for shit with a right stick. Restarted and found it a lot more comfortable. Found a bunch more secrets due to not having to think where controller buttons are. Also default sprint on the controller was L3 (pressing left stick in) which I hate. Left shift so much more natural.

Watched the Digital Foundry review and I seriously regret my 2nd and exhaustive PS4 Pro playthrough of this last year. Looks like an amazing port.

As part of my efforts to reduce my pile of shame, I'm only buying games with whatever I get for Christmas and my birthday, so this year Total Warhammer 3 got the nod (I also forgot about this), but with STALKER 2 delayed until December, my birthday just opened up nicely :D

Loving the game. There are some Radeon-specific performance/GPU utilisation issues related to AMD and DX11. GOW's in-house engine has no DX12. The DF analysis touched on it. I find when transitioning between areas which is often in this game there are moments of low GPU utilisation and subsequent slower frames. Some seconds later it picks back up and we're properly utilised again. VRR keeps it relatively clean but it's noticeable. I hope it can be fixed.

This game keeps going up notches the further you go. The areas and battles are way larger in scale than those in the early game. Also less linear as the game opens up with side quests becoming availble allowing you to choose what to explore next. Having an awesome time with the combat as more skills unlock. Early on I found using Artreus awkward to use in combat but it's second nature now and he has some invaluable unlocked skills.
