Login Cookie Problems.

Post by theboss »

Over the weekend to accommodate the new front page, we had to change the boards cookie details. This means that if you have the old cookies in your browser set, it will probably stop you from logging into the site. To fix this problem please clear your browsers cookies and then you should be fine to log in.

The boards cookie settings won't be changed in future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The Games Ranch Team.

Ever since this happened I've never been able to log in with IE. I've tried deleting the cookies (two of them, according to IECookiesView) but it still just keeps loading the login screen.

Please help me dump shitty Firefox :(

I get the feeling westical that the cookies aren't being cleaned up properly. There should be no reason why ie shouldn't work when you start fresh.

Are you deleting your cookies from your internet options?

Go to tools->Internet options in the menu.

The internet options dialog pops up. Select the general tab and under the Temporary internet files section click the delete cookies button. That will clean up all your ie cookies every single one. Then try to log into the forum again.

I've had this problem for the last couple of days - I tried logging out of GR then deleting the cookies, but it makes no difference; every couple of hours of inactivity, I get logged out.. :S
