It is clear.
What I see:
Or does IE still have utterly retarded transparent PNG support?

Yeah, I just checked it in IE and there is no difference between my new and old avatars.
Your one has a white background too Talez.

My bet is the latter. It's a larger filesize for the PNG... and it's a smaller file.
I'm still confused... why did you ask us to change them?

Because yours has a disgusting jaggy pixelated white border, is my guess.
Talez' ones look fine to me, but then I used Firefox like most discerning folk!

Because yours looks like this to me:
and the aliased white shinyness really detracts from the overall attractiveness of the image.

Maybe your browsers suck. Here's what mine show:
Internet Explorer might not show PNG files properly, but it shows GIF images perfectly fine. And it's a quarter of the size.

Oh, i put a white outline on it to help with the transparency. I use a different theme then you fellas.
I'll see how it looks minus the outline.

I don't even have IE6 on this machine anymore to check.
MS actually fixed the problem in IE7.

I use the default subBlack board theme and have noticed several gif/images that have a fine white outline look kinda bad on the black background. You don't notice the white outline on lighter background themes.
Talez's images in firefox for me look a lot nicer.

Nope. Don't like the subBlack colour scheme. Too dark. I removed the white border on my sig... it's not perfect on the black background. But it's improved. PNG's are fucked in Internet Explorer.

Cool. I didn't realise it looked as bad as it did on the black background. I've used this colour scheme since day one LOL.

Mods you should make white the default background. Way easier to read and view pics imo.

It also scrapes every last nook and cranny of the web, collecting popups, spyware and trojans. God bless it.
