Latest info from Bloomberg is,

Growth in the current period will get a boost from the launch of a new, cheaper version of the Switch, according to two people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to discuss private plans. The new device will likely be launched by the end of June, according to one of the people. The existing Switch will receive a modest upgrade this year, though a more powerful version is not in the works, the people said.

Nvidia doesn't really have anything on their roadmap that could be an easy slot in upgrade, their Tegra line is purposed for self driving cars these days, they gave up on the tablet market. Nintendo just got a good deal of a bunch of tegra chips nvidia couldn't move.

With 3DS going the way of the dodo, I expected nintendo to make the switch into a form factor that's more durable and a better sized for kids.

Is that the one with Skyrim VR, Doom VR, Astrobot, Wipeout & VR Worlds? That's a fucken amazing deal. We never got anything with Astrobot bundled here.
