Half Life 2 (XB) on 360 - edit FIXED!

Has anyone else played this or tried to? I am having difficulty waiting until the 360 version with Ep1&2 is released, and thought Id give this a go.

Anyway, picked it up today and it crashes to a black screen every time after it finishes loading the main title screen.

And it does happen to start working, what can I expect as far as compatibility goes? Shoddy framerate or is it pretty stable?

Yeah, my friend can't play Stubbs on his 360, but can play Halo 2. Everything I have works so far...

It might be a drive issue I am thinking.

Anyone have the 360 drive pics handy?

I have the Hitachi. My housemate has the Samsung.

I haven't had a single issue with BC games, he can't play Stubbs.

I've got the Samsung, and it's pretty loud as well. Sometimes it spins down to a lower speed, and it's really quiet, the machine runs cool. But other times it keeps at full speed and the whole thing runs loud and hot. I haven't figured out what triggers it to spin down yet, but I wish I knew how to get it to always run slower.

Yes, we aren't a couple or anything.

There are 3 of us at my place, and we are all interested in video games. So we all have our own consoles.

There are over 15 consoles in our house.
