Futuristic WW2?
Looks great either way.
Oh OK I did a little bit of research:

Oh OK I did a little bit of research:
The atmospheric first-person shooter from veteran developer Insomniac Games takes place in 1951 on an alternate Earth that conveniently never had to sweat World War II. This is something of a mixed blessing, since the trade-off is that humankind has had to face a greater threat in the form an alien menace called the chimera, who have ravaged most of the world's population.
Currently playing: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (PC), Far Cry 4 (PC), FIFA 23 (Series X)

Here's a series of teasers for a (new?) FPS trilogy. Sure looks exciting!

I suppose they have to start to spinning the big storage capacity to justify the extravagant price of the ps3 and games.
WOW lets make 18 gigs of HDFMV and 4 gigs of game data

God is that just the biggest pr bullshit you've ever seen, "HD-DVD's 15gig limitation".In a recent press release Insomniac Games spokesperson Ryan Schneider revealed that upcoming Playstation 3 title “Resistance: Fall of Man” will weigh in at a meaty 22 gigs.
Schneider explained that the size is partially due to textures and the soundtrack, but noted that it’s something that just isn’t possible with HD-DVD’s 15 gig limitation. Resistance is reported to feature 40-player online matches, a ranking system with 60 levels , and gyro utilization with PS3’s Dual Shake controller.
I'm sorry those screens don't screem 22gb of textures.
Yeah well Microsoft and co are not ANY better, constantly going on about how HD-DVD is 30 gig and Blu-Ray is 25 gig, and how Blu-Ray only uses MPEG2 formatting and stuff.lestat wrote:God is that just the biggest pr bullshit you've ever seen, "HD-DVD's 15gig limitation".In a recent press release Insomniac Games spokesperson Ryan Schneider revealed that upcoming Playstation 3 title “Resistance: Fall of Man” will weigh in at a meaty 22 gigs.

Apparently the audio is only 1gb in total. The rest is apparently graphics data. So it's not the different languages. I think they're creating contiguous data load blocks for level loads to reduce load times. Since they have the space they might as well use it that way, especially since the bluray drive is slower when it comes loading and seek times. Of course cutting and pasting the same data over and over again isn't something you'd want to do with a 360 game, but you really don't need to because the dvd drive has better seek times and read speeds, so random access loading doesn't hurt you as much.
