If it is to remove online play I'll seriously need to be placed on Image watch.

it's getting some low-ish review scores.
the genre needs 2k to push it along.

I'll wait until I get some serious playtime before coming down with my unbiased review. BTW I'll review the game for Games-Ranch too and I'll keep it real.

i've only seen scores around the 8 mark.

that's low-ish when you consider how massive this game is, plus it's candy's goty every year since 93 or something.

I downloaded it last night, underwhelming is all I can say.

Boring, doesn't feel any different from previous versions... last time I played a madden game was on the megadrive, and not very attractive. I'm sorry CA, but you are backing the wrong game.

I guess you have to be already be a fan to appreciate it.

wow amazing that you can tell that when I mostly refer to graphical impressions. I am happiest to discuss in this thread rather then the marketplace thread.

Basically, for a demo, I felt it was weak. It was boring to look at and yes, it was too short. The demo doesn't make me want to play the game any further.

I feel like I have played this game before though. It doesn't feel like it has progressed beyond previous NFL titles. I generally find this with most NFL titles though. They all seem to feel the same. I am guessing that is the sport though.

Like I said, if you are already a fan of previous games, then I am sure you will love this one too.

But for someone who has casually played them in the past or has never played an NFL title, this isn't going to win any new fans.

It was boring to look at, and dull to play.

That is simply my opinion.

It is fairly easy to tell when you make dumb fuck comments like the ones above. It doesn't play any different to the previous versions even though you haven't played since the 16bit days.

I guess you also have to be a fan to have any observational capacity.

Call a play, press a button, watch most of play done for you, press a button, watch rest of play carry out. If catch ball push up, occasionally press shoulder and face buttons.

Also, in terms of graphics:

I find this:

more visually appealing then this:

But I'm not here to talk about DOA4, or what game looks better. You are the one trying to compare two completely different games. I am merely trying to give my opinion on what the demo has offered.

Maybe if there was a manual I could sit down with, and longer quaters to play with I might find something deeper in the game. But honestly, all I found was something shallow. As I said, this is what the demo has displayed for me. Everyone knows that a demo is a full representation of the completed game, but as a demo it should make you want to buy the full completed game. This demo doesn't do that.
