I guess not playing the game makes it really hard to tell what I am looking for. As I said it looks like an easy game. It is really hard to tell what is happening.

Can someone explain it to me as I want to understand it.

In regards to the greatest puzzle game comment... it looks like a poor mans tetris and it is missing a stylus control. :P

yeah, i got no idea WTF is going on there either - "infinite combo" sounds a lot more exciting than what's going on there...

Wow, that video was boring as batshit, it didn't seem that amazing to me, did I miss something? They weren't setting up amazing combos, just getting rid of what was coming down...

Poor man's tetris? Missing a stylus control? ahahahahhaa.

Lumines is by far the best puzzle game I've ever played.

I'll pay whatever they want me to pay for the game since far less than retail for this game is a fucking steal.

BTW Meteos is a better puzzle game.

Explanation of the video/mechanics of the game:
Simply put, because of the simple, limited nature of the blocks available and the game design (regarding the clear method), it's easy to just set up a few piles or columns, that between them can cover any block combination. Get a 2 blue 2 brown? Column number 1. 3 blue 1 brown? Rotate and column number 4. Etc.

It means that you can just cruise on over to a perfect score, and the game never gets more challenging.

I suck at puzzle games so won't be able to do what the guy in the video does. Even if I study it for hours  :(

But I couldn't pass on Lumines for $15
