Anyone still playing threes? Cracked 30,000 tonight. Going to give up when I get the 1536 piece.

Monument Valley is very short, but also very beautiful and mind bending with its impossible geometry. Lovely little game (it's on Android too).

Game is free on the App Store. Is it possible to play it without spending any money?

Absolutely. I've pumped a lot of time into it and haven't spent a cent.

Re: The iOS gaming thread
Yeah I laughed at that too.
Re: The iOS gaming thread
Got a 1536 tile in Threes. 61,287 is now my high score. Think I'll call it a day there... Hopefully. Fucking game is so addictive.
Re: The iOS gaming thread
I haven't played it for ages, Spelltower is still my go-to iOS game it seems. Sad to see the popularity of 2048, must be really frustrating for the Threes devs.
Pretty keen to give Hearthstone a red hot go when I get the chance. Went to download it the other day but I'd accidentally Wifi-synced my iTunes library to the iPad and filled the bastard up.

Dear Mech,
Why did you drop out of our game of Carc? I just checked the game to see if you'd made a move this month and it said you had ended the game and I won.
love, Cletus.

You know most people would follow their answer up with a "because...." and generally provide further information. Just thought you might be interested in how people do it, is all..

Re: The iOS gaming thread
I've been a bit burned out on ios gaming lately, between Xcom and Hearthstone setting the quality bar ridiculously high, and a HUGE quality gap down to shameless F2P SHIT.
But, Galaxy Trucker is the real deal folks. Believe the hype.

Re: The iOS gaming thread
Holy fucking shit. So I'm in the middle of exams right now, and my next one is particularly rough and is on Thursday afternoon. I just went to look over some relevant slides on my iPad, and damn near shat my pants when the unlock screen said it was Thursday. I was sure I'd left a full day for study beforehand, I'd moved work shifts around to accommodate that and the exam itself... double checked the exam time/date, yep, it's on in less than two hours. Completely freaked out and raced to get to the exam I practically hadn't studied for...
Why am I posting this in the iOS gaming thread? My housemate is addicted to Candy Crush but can't get it on his phone, and so borrows my iPad from time to time. I showed him how to rort the cooldown on extra lives by changing the date, and evidently he forgot to change it back after his last game.
TL;DR- Even when I don't play Candy Crush it fucks me over.

Instabought Geometry wars 3: Dimensions on my iPad this morning. It's... well, it's pretty good. $6 something.

I instabought it too and can't play it at all with touch-screen controls. Wayyyyyy to loose for movements that need to be super precise.

Re: The iOS gaming thread
Finished Monument Valley and its Forgotten Shores expansion just now. Nice one for public transport, looks great on an iPad. Traverse many pretty geometrical monuments and experience a MC Escher ride around various perspective defying platforms and bridges to reach your destination. Short but worth it for the few bucks it costs.
