This. If a game involves a heavy element of chance, a good strategy to overcome the odds is to play faster. Clearing shit you don't need creates an opportunity to clear something you do. It took a while for 10000000 to click for me because I was getting too caught up with trying to use everything on the board or set up combos, as opposed to just making room and getting new tiles. You'll find it gets much easier the more you play as well- partially because you'll be better at the game from more practise, but also due to the potions you'll unlock. They each have pros and cons, but many of the cons are nullified as you progress. For example, the drawback of not earning any wood/stone when a particular potion is active has no bearing on you once you've bought everything you need wood/stone for.

Ahhhhh! Pocket Trains has me by the balls. :(

It's been a while since this threads been bumped. Since then I have to say that IMO three iOS games are head and shoulders above anything else, and have pretty much broken iOS gaming for me. Everything has to measure up against this yardstick:
- XCom: Enemy Unknown. Seriously, one of the best games of this gen, and a really nice port to iOS. Worth every cent.
- Civilization Revolution.
- Warhammer Quest.

How is playing xcom on a phone? Too cramped?

Yeah I'm still plugging along with Badland, it's fantastic. Finally started PvZ2 and am quite enjoying it. Iceberg Lettuce FTW.

Picked up ARTPOP last night, the official Lady Gaga app. It's basically a cross between Instagram and VJ software (and a platform to buy her music). Someone had already uploaded a photo of Gaga with a disembodied wang bobbing in and out of her mouth, of which I approve. Probably not a keeper, but it's free and pretty funny.

Also downloaded the Commander thingo for Battlefield 4. I'm beyond hopeless at BF but I'll give this a burl later tonight.

I will have a clip shortly but a client of mine is a game developer and I offered to give it some testing... Since then I have written all the music for the game. Kinda chuffed that I wrote stuff so quickly and he was so impressed to just put it in. It's nothing groundbreaking but that will come with the next game ;)

No hoovers I'm afraid as it's a cutesy sorta game but certainly a few inception like fat bass moments :)

Lemme know how it goes, I only have a rubbish iphone 3g so I didn't cave. Very interested in how the iOS retro classics and ea sports games play with it.

This app appears to have been cleaned up by the fun police- all nude selfies have vanished, making it difficult to recommend.

Dungeon Keeper.

Just don't go there. All it has in common with the original game is the name. It's a completely disgraceful grab for cash
