Good games dude. I felt I had to play the bulldog coming in, because I remember last time we played I was a bit hesitant and you belted me senseless. I also felt comfortable using Balrog against a shoto who isn't named SagatGreyWizzard wrote:Good games Candy, your aggressive tactics really nailed me. I just couldn't start up anything to to keep you away.
Candy won by the way
Ekin will be tough as nails. Either I will win by the skin of my teeth or he will drill the fuck out of me. I expected this is as far as I could realistically get, but bring it on boy! Play to win baby

Yeah, why Candy wants to play a game that requires minimum lag with someone on the other side of the world is beyond me. If he won he would go on about how awesome he is and if he lost he would blame it on the lag so it's a lose/lose situation.Pariah wrote:and the lag to australia v england would be too high for this game..unless t0mby moved back to nz???

When have I ever chalked up a loss to lag? It affects everyone. Fact - you're scared of playing me.t0mby wrote:Yeah, why Candy wants to play a game that requires minimum lag with someone on the other side of the world is beyond me. A decent tourney could be possible if someone grew some balls and organised it properly.
I've enjoyed the few chances I've had to play with people from this forum. All it would take is to set a night for the group and get on for an official round and some friendlies. Seems to work for the sport/racing crowd.

Oh it wasn't thinly veiled. It's your name at the beginning of the thread, your baby. Then we have weeks of sitting around asking when's this starting? Do we have enough people?
I'm not organising a tournament here, these people don't know me from a bar of soap. I put my name down for fun, to play against some new people, and you'll notice my round was done before I even knew the matchups had been announced.
I think I've made a valid suggestion though. You pick a night and start time, say you and whoever will be on hosting, everyone else in, you run with the numbers you have.
Hell, doesn't the game have a tournament mode? Is there some reason why we aren't using that?

people fucking around too much...
once i saw the brackets i added ebe we played that was that..st is a fast game it can be over with in no time..no fucking waiting two weeks or anything
i dont really put all the blame on candy but i think he could have been more of a hard arse and kicked slackers out faster..and maybe set the tournament to run for two weeks max
whatever i guess this has been a good learning curve for candy..

To be fair, I'm not putting all the blame on Candy either, but no shows are a fact of life, people's plans change. I just don't get the 'throwing the hands in the air and blaming everyone else' thing. I don't mind that I lost out, I'm just keen to give it another shot in Tournament 2.0, if we can get there.
Looked like you could set the Tournament Mode to private slots only. Ranked matches isn't a big deal if it's all invite only, is it? Is there some literature available on how this shit works? I can't test out the mode without a bunch of other people online...

if you can believe it Muzz, I logged on last night to find you had logged off 2 mins agoMuzza wrote:Giving Kaji the walk over.
Lol, this tourney is taking way too long.
Let's all get our shit sorted out for SF4, so we can have a decent tourney.
Sorry guys I've been really distracted lately, I'm happy for Muzz to just go on to the next round by default, my fault I haven't been on

I thought those were friendly matches candy lol
I was going to pm you asking you to let me know when you want to have our matches.
Im in for tourney 2.0. Use the tournament mode and im sure everyone can spare an hour over the weekend or something.
The way this is going i might get a bye in the final
