Assasins Creed to 360, confirmed.....but

IGN later today revealed that it is comming to the 360, but then took it down.....

The official announcement is meant to be tommorrow, that's why ign pulled it down, they jumped the gun. Another ps3 exclusive bites the dust. I hear mercenaries 2 is not going to be ps3 exclusive anymore as well.

It seems like every two months they drag this trick pony out again and again.

May - Assumed to be PS3 exclusive but was seen on X05 list. Xbox 360 fanboys have hope!

July - Pony dragged out again. A [Ubisoft] rep told GameSpot News: "Assassin’s Creed is coming to the PS3. No other announcements have been made."

September - Right on cue. At last, Ubisoft has shed some light on the subject, but still stays mum on the game headed to Microsoft's console. A rep from the publisher told GameSpot, "Assassin's Creed PC will indeed see the light some day. Details will be provided at a later date."

So we have a vague promise of a PC port far in the future. Shit. That must be making the Playstation 3 fanboys wet their pants because, you know, the 360 is only 3 steps removed from the PC by proxy. That's almost a 360 port.

I'll believe it when I see it but at the moment the 8-ball is saying "All signs point to no".

Hmmmm... So 360 Magazine are putting their money where there mouth is. Either its coming to 360 or 360 magazine is going to look incredibly fucking stupid.

If it is true, I want to know how they kept everyone's mouth shut until today (considering the stupidly long lead times of print and relative amount of exposure a magazine cover would still get pre-publication).

Nobody cared because.

A.) It's a Ubi game
B.) It was a PS3 exclusive.

Talez seems to care enough to spin some damage control.

Which makes everyone else care because it is fun watching the SDF squirm.

Meh. 360 can have Assassin's Creed. We in the SDF never wanted it anyway. We just liked watching the 360 fanboys squirm knowing they wanted the game to not be PS3 exclusive so badly.

Also, if its taking SDF members to provide concrete rather than rumour and pulled stories on Xbox 360 ports these days I have to wonder whether the 360 fanboys are a bit asleep at the wheel

Talez be reassured in knowing that ubisoft indeed are announcing it tomorrow, a press release will be released tomorrow.

Don't worry there are still plenty of reasons to get a ps3, for one it has potential, that alone is worth the price of admission.

RR7 doesn't look too far removed from RR6, except for the stage in the scan with the tiled ground.

'tis true. Talez flat out fucking owned Rocco regarding that. Rocco was posting quotes of quotes that were like chinese whispers while Talez had a direct video and direct quotes of the man himself.

You don't need to send me a 360 but can you send me a 360 wireless adapter?

It's the only thing thats holding me back and if someone can buy that overpriced piece of plastic instead of me it would make the decision a lot easier

Yep connecting PS3 wirelessly to my network is going to be pretty sweet.

And yes it is actually good to read Assassin's Creed will release on all platforms. It's never pleasent business to have users miss out on quality third party content due to consumer-unfriendly commercial influences.
