Not too happy with the results people are getting in the GAF performance thread to be honest.

This game sounds shit. I'm predicting low to average scores and a 5 from Edge.

As much as I love the series... the main character faces don't seem to be as up to standard I feel.. but I can live with that. What has surprised me is that I have watched some of the MP and it has been a bit stuttery... could have been the videoplayer copy.. I don't know.. but I know that it shouldn't be like that. All this stuff is fixable.. and I know I will love it regardless but I am dead keen for the MP. As great as the story mode is.. I know I will play it a few times through but the MP is where ME3 was at.

Latest AMD drivers provide a big boost for this game.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first 3-5 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition either and I ended up loving that game so much I bought all the story-based DLC before I had finished it. So I'm hoping Andromeda comes through with the goods.

Less than a week now people

Mass Effect 3 and DA:I seems to have turned people against Bioware.

Never played DA:I but I loved Mass Effect 3 especially with all the DLC bolted on.

Yes - gamers are cunts, can't wait for Andromeda. Currently pre-loading the superior PC version through Origin. 4K 60fps let's goooooooooooooooooooooooo

The worst part about Inquisition is the starting area. The Hinterlands. Was pulling my hair out with it until I looked online and realised you're supposed to leave that area ASAP. You're supposed to play story missions until the story moves beyond The Hinterlands. Then you can travel back to it later and it's a lot better.

I'm used to clearing out an entire area of subquests then moving on but in Inquisition you can't do that in The Hinterlands.

Inquisition is awesome apart from that bit of poor game design at the very start.

It is definitely worth asking questions how they thought releasing the game in this state was a good idea.
In good news... the combat sounds great and the multiplayer seems to be the best part of the game which suits me perfectly since it was my favourite part of ME3.

Bad news for people who liked old school Bioware:

They hired an anti-white racist to make this game:
They copied the trend with Dragon Age Inquisition by making all the females into ugly chics to troll the heterosexual gamers.

It's time to boycott the Bioware of today and just accept that much like many movies and tv series the SJWs have ruined it and move on to new things.
I will probably end up pirating this. Thanks God/ancient alien nephilim apes/nintendo that bethesda games are highly modable and their default ugly faces can be edited and replaced easily. Imagine if they were owned by EA? I would be so pissed.

How does it feel Candy Arse to have your fave company buy this shit developer and all the fans finally wake up to the fact they have sucked for ages? (their prime was Dragon Age Origins when the rpg games were PC titles)

The hate for this game kind of rivals that of Diablo 3 on release when blizzard ignored the will of the fans of diablo 1 and 2. You guys might disagree with my taste in games but you can't ignore that many fans of long running series have a right to complain when the quality of what they once had dips and so many diehard gamers avoid purchase on principle.

Guys like Candy Arse are sort of like Sonic fans and can never let it go. Anytime you guys get hyped over a title it seems the SJWs sense this and deliberately shit all over the content. Yet you have the nerve to criticise the Zelda games which have always got 10s because they actually satisfy the fans? WTF so glad you guys are not game reviewers.

The money I save NOT buying this game will just have to go to my purchase of Zelda BOTW on Switch giving nintendo double the sales. :P (currently own the wii u version) Fuck this racist shit. Unless people boycott marvel comics and bioware the quality will remain crappy. It's the weapon of the enemy to shit on things you like by invading/hijacking them to brainwash people. You got to punish the companies by not funding them so they can't continue the abuse. To simply give them bad score but support the series means you let them continue to make more shitty games. It's a test of your will.

Top notch animation. Shamelessly nicked from GAF.

What an abortion. I'll wait for a sale.

Crunch. Have BioWare been left behind?
Games have to fit into our lives, and that's not always fair. Mass Effect: Andromeda might've worked a decade ago on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but it doesn't work in a world that is delivering games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nier: Automata, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In this reality, BioWare's latest role-playing game is old, broken, and often boring. Worst of all, it's going to disappoint fans of the Mass Effect series.

Yes, fictional women must be attractive and if they're not then it's because of political correctness gone mad. Unless they're old, then they don't have to be attractive because old women are gross obvs.

A lot of reviews are comparing it to the original. The series didn't really take off until Mass Effect 2 but I was annoyed they removed aspects of the original for the otherwise superior sequel (exploration, the Mako, more RPG elements) so I'm still excited about Andromeda cos they're back with what all the reviews are saying is the best combat in the series.

Yeah, exactly. I've never been on-board with the whole "must revolutionise" concept, I could never understand why JRPGs had to reinvent the battle system or be slaughtered in reviews.
