Re: Wii HD
SO FUCKING GOOD.
So far played MadWorld and HotD Overkill with genuine Wii controllers on my TV in HD and if it wasn't such high resolution, you'd swear you were playing a Wii itself. All it cost me was $20 for a BT adapter, $12 for a wireless IR bar and $0 to borrow my brother's Wiimote and nunchuk.
Still tinkering around to get F-Zero GX running *just* right but other than that, fucking stoked.

Re: Wii HD
On the TV or PC? The forums for the emulator are pretty much all you need... the GAF thread is pretty good too. All you have to do is follow the settings they suggest, load the ISO and you're away. I have my TV connected via HDMI and duplicates my main PC monitor.
Only trouble I had was pairing the Wiimote with the emulator, but once that's done it's smooth sailing. You just need a PC good enough to run it. FWIW, I'm using a Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.2GHz w/ 4gb RAM and 5830 video card, rendering @ 1280x720, upscaled to 1920x1080.

9400M might be no good.

Re: Wii HD
I think it's more CPU related though. Or that may be the PS2 emulator.

Re: Wii HD
More graphics. As this is a HLE, it seems to rely more on the GPU for graphics output. If you want to test, download a Gamecube ISO and the emulator. The classic controller can be mapped to anything and should be a good enough indication of how well it will run Wii stuff.
Dolphin emu beginners thread: http://forums.dolphin-emu.com/thread-4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just search GAF for dolphin emulator. Simple stuff there.
I think mech might be right on the video card though... a mobile GPU probably won't cut it.

Re: Wii HD
Ok geeklings, assess my rig and how playable this emu will be with it. I am assuming its a no go.

Re: Wii HD
You can all try it yourselves, just do what I suggested. Or visit the Dolphin emulator forum... they seem almost *too* helpful
[nice mode]There's no way I could possibly know. You may be able to dial down the settings enough to use it, right down to getting it at 480p with minimal effects... but the only way you'll find out is on their forum.[/nice mode]

Re: Wii HD
Oh Man. This looks awesome! I'd be all over the Wii this gen if it was able to produce graphics like this. So clean!
Can't seem to get the 360 controller to work though.

Re: Wii HD
Not trying hard enough. You need to select the gamepad thingy then configure each button/axis.

Re: Wii HD
Can you use the wired 360 controller in place of the wiimote?

Re: Wii HD
Can, but I'm not sure how well it runs. All I know is that it will work as the classic controller.
